  1. Congrats to the VRA my side in Netherlands as I have mentioned before on their victory against a decent side in Punjab and thankfully the rain came to save us as I thought Punjab were on course for a victory but a good bowling effort after that break meant a decent win for VRA. Would have lost that last year but something seems to have changed and reaching the T20 Finals Day proved this. So onto ACC next weekend and after their bad loss 82 all out vs HCC 83/03 by 7 wickets it is hopefully another win.

  2. Good day to you Bertus and Rod later

How close to a Dutch surprise we came to but alas the last number of overs in each innings decided the match. Sri Lanka from over 13 added 63 for 1 and Netherlands from same over 13 added 35/5 and this is where it was lost for your side. But yet again more good play from your side and a late one I see at 0230 Dutch Time vs Sri Lanka, a bit more gile in those final overs could see an upset.

PS Bertus what is now the state of play for the 12 Nation cut off re Zimbabwe in 12th and Ireland in 11th and now Scots making a push for it (USA to far back I belive to be an option). Come on Aussies and English rare from an Irishman to be saying that.

The Netherlands A Dames had a good win vs Hong Kong on Thursday and nice to see them stick with Landsman despite all issues. Good batting and 4th wicket stand between Thompson and Koolwijk set a good score of 134/03 and with some good bowling by all meant a 14 run win. Looking forward to the WT20 match series starting Monday and baring rain a 4-0 win should be the order of the day for the Dutch side.

  3. Dear Bertus and Rod

Well what a good week for the Dames vs Hong Kong and as I predicted a 4-0 win but how it was close in match 2 reduced to 14 overs. Batters came to the fore with Robine Rijke being the most consistant overall and also top scored in match 3 and 4 and Babette DeLeede in match 1 and Sterre Kalis in match 2. Bowlers performed apart from the 2nd reduced to 14 when they came hard. They had a poor series apart from Natasha Miles who has county experiance excelled whilst bowlers who seemed to have control lost it and gave the Dames momentum back. Overall a good couple of months with a 2-0 series win vs Italy and now 4-0 vs Hong Kong.

But in saying this nice to see a cross continent series at Women’s level and apart maybe from Thailand where the Dames was and Namibia in Netherlands and Germany in 2022 and not forgetting the Germans and Brazilians in the Kuwibaka event in Rwanda was good also so hopefully more at “Associate Level” as we see a lot at top level say Ireland Women in Zimbabwe last Jan/Feb.
