Rod Lyall 19:40
Whatever excitement there may be happening or have happened elsewhere, it’s been another extraordinary day in the Topklasse. Sparta all out for 22 with an Anees Davids hat-trick and nine ducks; Excelsior defending 158 to win by 28 runs; HBS reduced to 18 for four and losing by 8 wickets to VRA; and HCC beating Quick by a similar margin. Excelsior’s three-point margin may turn out to be decisive, but there are five rounds to go and pretty much anything can still happen. VOC will visit the Amsterdamse Bos next Saturday for their held-over match against VRA, and there will be a full round on Sunday. And you’ll be able to follow it all here on TKcricket. This is Rod Lyall saying goodbye for now from a very hectic Loopveld.

ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:59
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 130 all out (48.4 overs)
Three for Raza, but then Bhatti bowls Zaidi neck and crop. And then it ends with a remarkable touch, as Devanshu Arya pushes to cover point and looks for a single. Ingram runs in and hits the ball down into the stumps with the flat of his hand to run Raza out. Extraordinary stuff!
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:54
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 127-8 (48 overs)
Two overs left, 32 needed. Two wickets in hand. It would take a big effort from ACC from here!
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:50
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 123-8 (47.2 overs)
A six by Raza off Bhatti gives ACC hope, but they still needed 36 off three. Then Knoll holes out to Tim Etman at deep mid-on off Parchmant. Ammar Zaidi in.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:43
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 113-7 (45.5 overs)
Parchment returns, Ingram having finished his excellent spell, and after a trio of singles removes Barends’ off stump. This game is slipping away from the home side as Chris Knoll comes in.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:38
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 110-6 (44.4 overs)
Disaster for ACC! With Bhatti keeping it tight, Sqib goes for a quick single to mid-on, Niels Etman gathers, and runs in to break the stumps with the batsman short. Anis Raza in.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:31
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 107-5 (43 overs)
There have still only been three boundaries in this innings, all of them from the bat of Marais. Six off that Bhatti over keeps them in touch, but 52 still needed off seven.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:25
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 102-5 (41.4 overs)
Mulready gets off the mark quickly, but then falls to a stunning catch by Branton Parchment off Ingram, diving to his left at backward square leg and clutching the ball one-handed. Brady Barends in now, as ACC falter.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:07
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 99-4 (40.2 overs)
Sohail Bhatti’ 250th top flight wicket is a pretty important one, as he knocks back Sikander Zulfiqar’s off stump. Jamieson Mulready joins Saqib, who’s on 22. Game on!
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 18:07
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 89-3 (38 overs)
This is a crucial partnership for ACC, and one which Excelsior need to break quickly. ACC are behind on DLS at the moment, and 70 from 12 overs will require a significant change of gear. But with wickets in hand, it ought not to be beyond them. They’re currently taking the final drinks break of the game.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 17:57
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 79-3 (35 overs)
The day’s big game is heading towards the day’s tight finish, as the Zulfiqar brothers work to keep the scoreboard moving against Heggelman and Ingram. It’s mainly Saqib, to be fair: Sikander has yet to score.
HCC vs Quick Haag 17:55
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 207-2 (43 overs)
Street finishes it off, pulling Brand twice through the on side to the rope in the 43rd to finish unbeaten on 71, Gorlee left on 54*. Quick never really in the game.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 17:39
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 69-3 (29.5 overs)
Ingram strikes again, as Marais skies an attempted lofted drive to backward square, and Niels Etman takes it safely. That was a patient, determined 41. Sikander in with Saqib.
HCC vs Quick Haag 17:37
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 182-2 (39 overs)
Fifty for Gorlee, and for Street two overs later. These two look set to finish it themselves.
HCC vs Quick Haag 17:27
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 170-2 (36 overs)
It’s that sort of day for Quick looks like. First false shot in a good while as Street on the sweep pops up a simple chance at backward square. Down it goes. Hard to see a way back into the game from here for the visitors. Brand back, Gorlee facing, two away from a half century.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 17:25
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 60-2 (25.5 overs)
It’s the advent of Lorenzo Ingram (who else?) what does the trick, as he bowls Shirase Rasool for 19 with his fifth delivery. Saqib Zulfiqar joins Marais, who’s on 35.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 17:22
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 59-1 (25 overs)
It’s wickets Excelsior need, though, and there’s no real sign of them coming. Heggelman comes back at the Uilenstede End, but then Marais smacks Van Troost through mid-on for the first boundary in 20 overs.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 17:10
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 49-1 (22overs)
Sohail Bhatti on for Parchment, but Marais and Rasool continue chipping away, and after drinks they start to rise the tempo, taking five off one Bhatti over. Generally though, it’s their running of quick singles which keeps things moving.
HCC vs Quick Haag 17:10
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 150-2 (31 overs)
Meanwhile back at this comparatively #competitive match, HCC are cruising to victory. Street on 28*, Gorlee 44*.

Dosti vs Sparta 1888 16:49
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Sparta : 10-7 (6.5 overs)
Hattrick for Davids, this is getting silly.
HCC vs Quick Haag 16:47
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 124-2 (26 overs)
Street and Gorlee looking entirely unfazed by this Quick attack, Gorlee driving the scoring as he moves into the thirties sweeping van Gigch in front of square for four.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 16:44
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Sparta : 10-6 (6.4 overs)
Carnage continues, Buurman and Snoep cleaned up in succession, for no score. Davids the man responsible.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 16:41
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 31-1 (14 overs)
Rasool and Marais have both survived massive appeals for LBW, from Parchment and Van Troost respectively (with chorus in both cases). Progress is slow, but with the target only 159 that doesn’t really matter.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 16:27
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Sparta : 2-4 (2.5 overs)
Collapse continues, Bukhari bowled Davids for a duck.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 16:20
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Sparta : 1-3 (1.4 overs)
Diwan strikes in his first over too, Manminder Singh gone. And another, Fletcher stumped for a duck. Everybody very keen to finish early for some reason it seems.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 16:18
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 22-1 (9 overs)
Parchment and Van Troost are giving Rasool in particular a torrid time, with Marais also forced to defend but looking more comfortable.
HCC vs Quick Haag 14:17
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 80-2 (16 overs)
And another down here too, Wiffen trapped in front by Bista for 19. Gorlee in.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 16:16
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Sparta : 1-1 (0.2 overs)
Good start for Dosti, de Kok trapped LBW by Davids on the second ball of the innings.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 16:07
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 18-1 (6 overs)
Heggelman bowls a tad short to Marais, who crunches him twice through point for four. That brings Rens van Troost into the attack, and he produces a pretty lively first over. In between, Parchment bowls a maiden to Rasool.
HCC vs Quick Haag 14:07
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 76-1 (15 overs)
Breakthrough on the main field meanwhile, Staal brings up his fifty and then celbrates by spooning Brand up into the on side where van Gigch takes the catch. Street in with Wiffen now.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 15:57
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 6-1 (2.4 overs)
And Excelsior get what they really needed, an early wicket, with Rehmat Zulfiqar edging Parchment through to Roel Verhagen. In comes Shirase Rasool.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 15:59
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 138-2 (21.3 overs)
Well that didn’t last long. Singh finishes it off with back to back boundaries off Barresi to finish unbeaten on 73*, eight fours and five sixes. A man in a hurry, it seems.
HCC vs Quick Haag 15:51
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 60-0 (10 overs)
Staal and Wiffen not wasting any time either, 60 the partnership now at exactly a run-a-ball.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 15:47
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 2-0 (1 over)
They’re back out there, with Brenton Parchment starting from the Uilenstede End to Jean Marais. He turns the first ball through midwicket for a couple, but spends the rest of the over leaving, bat raised high. Heggelman to Rehmat Zulfiqar from the River Amstel End.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 15:49
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 109-2 (19 overs)
De Mey finds the breakthrough as Turmaine looks to hoik a short one over midwicket but it skews up for a straightforward catch. Cooper in at four. The wicket doesn’t slow the scoring any as Singh lifts the next over cover for four to bring up the hundred, and then two balls later slaps another six over midwicket.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 15:40
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 86-1 (17 overs)
Singh and Turmaine still for VRA at drinks, the former especially looks like he fancies catching some of the World Cup final, or possibly Wimbledon. Either way HBS look out of ideas.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 15:39
Dosti : 258-7 (49 overs)
Dosti finish on 258-7 from their 49 overs, DLS adds just the solitary run to that. 260 from 49 will be the target for Sparta.
HCC vs Quick Haag 15:08
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
HCC : 34-0 (5 overs)
Staal and Wiffen making steady progress on the main field, Brand replaces Groenewald.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 15:15
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 58-1 (12 overs)
First wicket down on the second field as Szwarczynski cuts Westdijk uppishly behind point, but falls to a spectacular catch from Gibson. Turmaine at three.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 15:09
Dosti : 206-5 (43.5 overs)
200 up for Dosti meanwhile, but Singh falls to Hoornweg for 64.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 15:07
Excelsior : 158-7 (50 overs)
And so it proves. Excelsior manage only 28 off the final ten, with Etman run out going for a fairly desperate second and beaten by Barends’ throw to Marais. Heggelman finishes on 18. From 110 for two after 31, that’s a disappointing outcome for his side, and a great fightback by ACC.
HCC vs Quick Haag 15:08
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
And they’re back on the main field too, Staal and Wiffen for HCC. Dake’s first over yields seven, Groenewald shares the new ball.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 15:05
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 43-0 (9 overs)
Szwarczynski and Singh have been making Serene progress while I was fixing some lunch I’m told.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 14:49
Excelsior : 140-6 (45 overs)
But two an over is scarcely momentum, and that’s all the batsmen can manage at the moment. Excelsior are going to be defending a disappointingly low total, it seems.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 14:38
Excelsior : 134-6 (42 overs)
There’s not much room for consolidation here, since we’re into the final ten overs of the innings. The Zulfiqar combination of seam and spin is going to make things difficult as well, but Heggelman and Etman will need to create some momentum from somewhere.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 14:33
Dosti : 151-3 (31.4 overs)
Big wicket at Drieburg, Kohli caught off Sardha for 19.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 14:30
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
VRA : 6-0 (1 over)
Back underway on the 2nd field, and nearly a wicket second ball as Szwarczynski pops a return chance back toward Westdijk, who dives for it one-handed but can’t hold on. Insult to injury as the next is pulled square for four. Gibson from the other end looks like.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 14:29
Excelsior : 130-6 (40 overs)
Correction: they crossed on Parchment’s catch (by Raza), and it was Woutersen who was leg-before. So now it’s Heggelman batting with Niels Etman.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 14:23
Excelsior : 130-6 (38.3 overs)
Another bowling change, and another wicket: Sikander Zulfiqar into the attack, and Kroesen edges to Marais, who takes a very good catch at the second attempt. And one brings two, as Parchment lashes at Saqib and is caught at long on. Skipper Tom Heggelman joins David Woutersen at the crease. Two bring three, and he’s out LBW first ball. Three wickets in five balls!
HCC vs Quick Haag 14:22
Quick : 203-7 (50 overs)
Van Schelven holes out to long on off the first, and Street should have had a wicket one way or another off the last, appeal for caught behind, they run one to the keeper who relay’s it to Street, who, with three stumps to aim at, can only hit the umpire. 203 the total then.
HCC vs Quick Haag 14:17
Quick : 199-6 (49 overs)
That’s one shot too many though, looking to put Overdijk into the scorebox but only gets as far as Street at long on, gone for 72. And two in two, Vierling pops a lap-sweep up for fine leg. Dake and van Schelven in, Street to bowl the last…
HCC vs Quick Haag 14:09
Quick : 191-4 (47 overs)
Shot of the day from Mol, inside out over cover to put Street into the nets. Serious knock from him this, into the 70’s.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 14:03
Dosti : 113-2 (26 overs)
One brings two, Tewarie chips a return catch to Manminder Singh, gone for 39.
HCC vs Quick Haag 13:59
Quick : 169-4 (45 overs)
And a wicket here at de Diepput too at long last, Brand clean bowled Klaus for 56. Captain to the crease, Vierling in at six. Street returns.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 13:57
Dosti : 107-1 (24.1 overs)
Breakthrough at Drieburg, Bali caught behind off Sardha for 58.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 13:55
Excelsior : 110-3 (31.1 overs)
And that’s a big wicket! Barends returns, Ingram gets under a lofted drive, and Mulready is under the towering catch at deep mid-off. He leaves for 36, to be succeeded by Joost Kroesen.
HCC vs Quick Haag 13:54
Quick : 163-3 (44 overs)
Acceleration now from Mol and Brand, hundred partnership up both into the fifties, Mol celebrates with a lofted straight drive off Overdijk for four. 200 in sight.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 13:45
Excelsior : 105-2 (28 overs)
The runs continue to flow, from Ingram’s bat in particular. When Saqib Zulfiqar comes on, Ingrm sweeps him powerfully for four. He’s on 36 now.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 13:44
HBS : 135 all out (44.5 overs)
Raja strikes again in comical fashion, fumbling and then spilling a return catch from Coster over his shoulder and onto his own back as he rolls, somehow manages to catch on the, Lord I don’t know, fifth attempt? Coster gone for 28 thanks to that fine display of contact juggling. Three ball later and it’s done, they take on Gunning’s arm and pay for it. Direct hit. Done.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 13:39
Dosti : 71-0 (19 overs)
Sparta still searching for the first wicket at Drieburg, Tewarie and Bali building a platform for Dosti. They’re on 28* and 38* respectively.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 13:32
HBS : 124-8 (40 overs)
Spin at both ends now, Adeel Raja on to the apparent amusement of the HBS crowd. They’re doubly amused as he’s tonked back over his head for six, but rather less so when he traps Gibson LBW with the next ball. He might have had another two balls later as the as-yet unidentifid new bat jams one into his pads and it rolls toward the wicket, but Lees instinctively reaches for it and flicks it into the stumps.
HCC vs Quick Haag 13:31
Quick : 124-3 (38 overs)
Back after drinks and Itagi back, HCC can’t find a way past this pair though. Partnership into the sixties now.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 13:26
Excelsior : 84-2 (24 overs)
Ingram’s had enough of stealth and patience, and has lofted first Knoll and then Raza for straight sixes. The latter is the cue for a drink.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 13:19
Dosti : 49-0 (14 overs)
They’re back on at Drieburg, just the one over off so far.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 13:16
Excelsior : 67-2 (20.2 overs)
Arya having completed his ten-over spell at a cost of 32 runs, he is replaced by Chris Knoll, who enjoys immediate success. Verhagen goes after his second ball, and Raza runs in t long off to pouch the catch. He made a patient 63-ball 25. Parchment joins Ingram.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 13:12
HBS : 106-7 (35 overs)
Hundred up for HBS too, and a crucial fifty partnership here between Coster and Gibson. HBS just clawing their way back from the brink here.
HCC vs Quick Haag 13:07
Quick : 106-3 (34 overs)
Hundred up for Quick meanwhile in the 34th. Crucial partnership this. Overdijk back. Scratch that, Street back in fact.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 13:04
HBS : 92-7 (33 overs)
First spin of the day as Turmain replaces Singh, direct hit on a dodgy second almost brings the breakthrough, but he’s just safe.
HCC vs Quick Haag 12:55
Quick : 89-3 (30 overs)
Still Mol and Brand for Quick,Brand gets away with one as Klaus spills a tough return chance in the 30th, otherwise uneventful.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 12:54
Excelsior : 60-1 (15 overs)
A quiet spell ensues, with Arya and Raza keeping it tight and Verhagen and Ingram content to pick up the singles for the time being.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 12:40
HBS : 67-7 (26 overs)
The generous cordon pays off for Borren as de Mey edges direct to Matt Lake at gully. Singh back at the other end.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 12:37
Excelsior : 45-1 (9.4 overs)
Verhagen smacks Arya over long off for six, but in Raza’s second he finds the edge of Etman’s bat and Marais gratefully accepts. Lorenzo Ingram in at three.
🌧 Weather Update 🌧 12:37
Raining again at Drieburg we hear, and the first drops have arrived here in the Hague too. They’re not coming off just yet but it’s a cold wind promised more rain to come…
HCC vs Quick Haag 12:32
Quick : 66-3 (22 overs)
Over the other side Hayden Brain was been sent back to a broken wicket by Mol, run out for 21. Brand in with Mol now and livens things up a bit by planting Street back over his head and into the advertising boards for six. Hay from the other end again.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 12:26
Excelsior : 33-0 (7.3 overs)
Excelsior’s steady start continues, with Etman clipping Barends behind square leg for four, and Verhagen lofting Arya back over his head for a couple. Anis Raza replaces Barends, and Etman swings him just wide of the diving fielder on the midwicket boundary. A search party is investigating the undergrowth.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 12:25
HBS : 57-6 (22 overs)
Back after drinks and Gunning returns, still seems to be getting something out of the ball, but it’s Borren that gets the wicket they wanted. Fairt to say he’s worked for it with Elkin dropped twice off his bowling and then a decent shout turned down, but the next is even better and enough for the umpire, finger goes up, de Mey in at eight, HBS in a state. Three slips, Gully and a short cover as VRA rack up the pressure.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 12:19
Dosti : 8-0 (5 overs)
And they’re underway at Drieburg, an unhurried start. No overs off yet we’re told.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 12:15
HBS : 54-5 (19 overs)
And Singh strikes to precipitate drinks, Ahmed caught behind is the call. Off his foot apparently. Ahmed doesn’t look pleased, the HBS crowd certainly aren’t and make their displeasure known in colourful style. He’s got to go though, Wessel Costern joins Elkin.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 12:08
Excelsior : 17-0 (4.4 overs)
The covers are off, and the umpires have had a look. A restart at 12:15, with no overs deducted yet. And I’ve added the wide in the current over which I had missed.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 12:07
Covers coming off at Drieburg again we hear.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 12:05
HBS : 46-4 (?? overs)
Oh dear. Real chance there as Elking edges Borren between the keeper and slip, both of whom seem to feel it’s the other’s responsibility. Slip probably had the stronger case there. And should have been two for him this over, shelled at square leg. Borren looks less than sanguine about these developments.
HCC vs Quick Haag 12:02
Quick : 51-2 (15 overs)
Brain and Mol digging in across the way too, and a double bowling change too, Hay for Overdijk and Street for Itagi.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 11:51
Excelsior : 16-0 (4.4 overs)
And they’re off again, s a sharp shower sweeps across the ground.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 11:48
HBS : 37-4 (12 overs)
Elkin and Ahmed looking a little more settled now that the shine’s off. Double bowling change as Borren replaces Graber and Singh takes over from Gunning.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 11:43
Covers coming on at Drieburg again we hear.
HCC vs Quick Haag 11:39
Quick : 33-2 (9 overs)
Van Gigch has looked unperturbed by the loss of Bista, driving Overdijk hansomely through extra cover, but the next ball his stumps are profoundly perturbed as Overdijk bowls him through the gate. Mol in at four.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 11:37
Excelsior : 5-0 (1 over)
Devanshu Arya opens from the River Amstel End to Tim Etman, who drives his second delivery through cover point to the boundary. A single off the final ball keeps him the strike, to face Brady Barends from the Uilenstede End. Roel Verhagen has a watching brief so far.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 11:26
Covers coming off at Drieburg too we hear.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 11:25
Excelsior :
The covers are off, and we’re looking at a start at 11:35. No overs off, obviously.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 11:23
HBS : 18-4 (4 overs)
And another! Barresi finally has his own bat run out to him, having grabbed the first that came to hand in his rush to get out to the middle, but he takes his time walking back, ruminating perhaps on Borren’s fantastic work at first slip holding a low edge off Gunning diving forward to his right.
HCC vs Quick Haag 11:18
Quick : 7-1 (3 overs)
Overdijk bags the most coveted wicket in the league, Jay “the Game” Bista nicks off and Lagas snaffles it. Hayden Brain in at three.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 11:14
Raining at Drieburg.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 11:12
HBS : 4-3 (2 overs)
Graber takes twice as long as Gunning to strike, Gomes edging to Borren at slip. Singh at four. Two more balls and another, second slip this time. Best put in a third as these edges are getting wider. Barresi almost timed out, understandably.
HCC vs Quick Haag 11:10
Quick : 2-0 (1 over)
Overdijk opening the bowling for HCC, van Gigch and Bista opening, and that looks nasty, Overdijk missteps in his follow-through first ball goes down clutching his knee. Takes a while to get up but he will continue.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 11:05
Excelsior :
And as they reach the pitch it starts raining again. The covers are out pretty quickly this time, first the pitch and then the run-ups.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 11:04
HBS : 1-1 (1 over)
Visée and Elkin open the batting for HBS, Gunning takes the new ball. And ball one gone! Visée gets a less-than-welcoming delivery first up, swinging in and jagging back out, edged and taken! Gomes at three, just the one run down to third man, Graber from the other end.
HBS Craeyenhout vs VRA 10:40
Peter Borren has the toss, VRA elect to chase.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 10:39
The news from the middle is that Tom Heggelman has called correctly, and elected to bat.
Dosti vs Sparta 1888 10:35
Toss to Dosti, they’re batting first too.
ACC vs Excelsior ‘20 10:35
And good morning from Rod Lyall at Het Loopveld, where the shower has passed, the team are out warming up in rather watery sunshine, and the toss is about to take place. The covers weren’t on when the teams arrived this morning (or yesterday, when I happened to be here), but hopefully the ground is fit for a start on time .
HCC vs Quick Haag 10:32
Quick have to toss here and will bat first.

VOC vs Voorburg 10:25
Bad news from Hazelaarweg, I’m afraid. Flooded beyond all hope of play. Called off.
🌧 Weather Update 🌧 10:06
Decidedly drizzly all over at the moment, though it’s clear here in the Hague for now. It’s coming down in Amsterdam though, at least east of the Amstel, and that’s headed south. May have some delayed starts today and there’s spotty showers expected all moring but expected to clear up later. Could be a bit stop-start till then.
Bertus de Jong 10:00
Good morning/afternoon/evening as appropriate, everyone. Welcome back for this 13th round of Topklasse games, I’m here at de Diepput where we have a double-header today, hosts HCC taking on Quick Haag on the main ground while HBS and VRA are over on the second owing to the unavailability of Craeyenhout. Rod’s on his way to het Loopveld for the top-table clash between ACC and Excelsior, and of course we’ll be keeping a weather eye on developments at Drieburg and Hazelaarweg too, so thanks in advance to our informants there. Developments here and in Amstelveen could prove decisive for the bottom and top ends of the table respectively, with Excelsior in a position to go three points clear or give up pole position to their hosts, while VRA and Quick will doubtless be keenly interested in each other’s games, with a tense relegation battle looking to be in the offing. All this and more in the preview of course , and hopefully some toss news in about half an hour’s time.
