Rod Lyall 18:05
So we come to the end of a dramatic and somewhat surprising day. ACC and HBS march on, but the former’s demolition of Voorburg was more comprehensive than we could have expected, even after last week’s collapse. And the big surprise was Sparta’s victory against Excelsior, not to mention Quick’s defeat of VOC. The defending champions and VRA, both of whom have a game in hand, are now the only sides without a win. There will be a lot more surprises before this season’s done. And with that thought, this is Rod Lyall saying goodbye for now from Craeyenhout. See you next week!

HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 18:00
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 154 all out (40.5 overs)
Arief Hoseinbaks holes out to Gibson at long on off Boddendijk, and it really is all over. An excellent performance by HBS in the field, and 220 proved plenty in the end. The spinners on both sides made important contributions, but of the Dosti batsmen only Diwan showed real resilience, and in the end he had to force the pace and fell as a result.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 17:51
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 144-9 (39 overs)
Arief Hoseinbaks and Waheed Masood, however, aren’t about to die wondering, and they plunder a few quick runs before Benno Boddendijk comes into the attack and Masood skies him to long on. There’s a momentary chance of a collision, but Gibson yells in time and then completes the catch. Asief Hoseinbaks joins his brother, who’s playing some fine uninhibited shots.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 17:50
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 146 all out (42 overs)
And sure enough we arrive at the inevitable, rather quicker than anticipated in the end. Max Hoorweg sweeps away the Excelsior tail to finish with career-best figures of 7-36, the best for a Sparta bowler in the top division since Aaron Barnes took 8-44 against VCC back in 1994.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 17:42
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 121-8 (36.2 overs)
Diwan drives De Mey sweetly back straight for four, but he pulls the next ball straight down the throat of Vink at deep midwicket, and it’s pretty much all over.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 17:42
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 137-7 (42 overs)
Hoornweg bags his fourth, Verhagen caught behind for 12, and Sparta deep into the tail now. Umar baker joins Rens van Troost but the asking rate is up over 6.5, and this game too looks headed toward an inevitable conclusion.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 17:29
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 117-7 (34.5 overs)
Hans has worked hard on his batting, and he looks pretty well organised at No. 8. But the asking rate is going up, and Dosti’s hopes largely rest on Diwan dominating the strike. And as I write this, Hans goes after De Mey, succeeding only in lofting catch to Navjit Singh at deep midwicket. Arief Hoseinbaks in at nine as they take a drink, but the writing is now pretty clearly on the wall.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 17:09
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
HCC : 194-3 (36.3 overs)
More consolation wickets, Itagi falls with ten still to get, but too late to affect the result. Street brings up his fifty and then finishes it off with a six, an easy win for the hosts in the end.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 17:07
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 88-6 (28.2 overs)
This stand between Diwan and Davids is really Dosti’s last chance, and they make an interesting contrast in styles: Diwan more restrained, Davids much more aggressive. He belts Vink into the Bosjes van Pex, and when Gibson returns he top edges him down to third man. Next ball, he pulls him out to deep midwicket, and Vink’s there to .take the catch. That ‘is’ just became ‘was’, as Mahesh Hans comes in.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 17:03
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 169-4 (44.5 overs)
Mol goes for 28, but too little too late for VOC. Vierling sees his side over the line with an unbeaten 26, and a comfortable win for Quick.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 17:02
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 111-6 (32.1 overs)
Nelson is busy today, does for Tom Heggleman at Thurlede with a little help from Snoep, who traps him LBW for 31. Van Troost in and Sparta have rather more than their noses in front here.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 16:52
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 100-5 (30 overs)
Still far from decided at Thurlede though, as Etman holes out off Manmider Singh, held on the rope by Tim de Kok. Roel Verhagen returning from injury, joins his skipper in the middle with 90 to get in the last 20.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 16:44
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
HCC : 141-2 (31 overs)
Similar story at de Diepput, Itagi and Street well set and VRA drifting to defeat.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 16:42
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 145-3 (38 overs)
Mol and Vierling looking to have this chase well in hand. 24 needed from 13 overs.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 16:41
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 57-5 (21.3 overs)
Makes that a serious spot of bother, as the wheels are coming off. Diwan pushes Barresi, who has returned in place of Khan, to short midwicket, where Gomes pounces and returns accurately to Ahmed. Tewarie is well short. Davids joins Diwan, but HBS are all over this.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 16:31
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 52-4 (19 overs)
A remarkable moment, as Singh, having swept De Mey for four, pops the next one up over Barresi at slip, who gets a hand to it. Elkin in the gully gives forward and grabs a low catch. Singh can scarcely believe it, but he’s gone, and Kuldeep Diwan comes in. Dosti are in a spot of bother now.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 16:24
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
HCC : 110-2 (25 overs)
Fifty for Itagi, Street still with him, and HCC look set to chase these down at a canter.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 16:22
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 118-3 (30 overs)
Quick lose their third, Young caught O’Dowd off Schoonheim for 34, bringing skipper Daan Vierling to the crease. less just 51 needed now though and still 20 overs to get them.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 16:14
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 45-3 (15.5 overs)
A massive blow by HBS! Kohli doesn’t quite get over an off drive off Khan, and Elkin dives to his right to take a low catch. A crucial wicket by any standards, as Amitoze Singh comes in to join Tewarie.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 16:04
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 38-2 (13.2 overs)
Shahdab Ghori has never looked really comfortable, and Farshad Khan, who has replaced Barresi, traps him in front as he tries to turn him to leg. There’s a long way to go, but HBS are looking sharp as Vinoo Tewarie joins Kohli..
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 16:02
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 101-2 (23 overs)
Mol and Young happy just to look for ones and twos, not much in the way of scoreboard pressure at Hazelaarweg with just 69 needed. Young into the 20s, Fletcher and O’Dowd now for VOC.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 15:57
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
HCC : 81-2 (17 overs)
Another down at de Diepput, Tonny Staal trapped in front for 18. Street joins Itagi.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 15:52
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 43-4 (13 overs)
Three for Hoornweg, Parchment gone for ten, Kroen manages only a 6-ball duck before being trapped LBW by Bukhari. Heggelman and Etman now and Excelsior on the ropes.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 15:51
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 29-1 (10.4 overs)
There’s the breakthrough! Gibson’s been testing both batsmen, and after cracking a superb square drive in the previous over Ahmed is tempted into the hook, gets a top edge, and Navjit Singh makes a lot of ground at midwicket to take the catch. Taruwar Kohli is the new man.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 15:41
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
HCC : 65-1 (14 overs)
HCC meanwhile looking like making light work of this chase, 59 on the board for the loss of Adam Wiffen, Itagi and Staal looking comfortable.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 15:38
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 11-0 (2 overs)
Sparta have them down two early including the crucial scalp of Lorenzo Ingram, Max Hoornweg responsible for both wickets. Parchment joins Etman.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 15:31
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 17-0 (5 overs)
Gibson continues to spray the ball around, but when he finds his line he has both batsmen in trouble. Barresi, by contrast, has settled onto a spot immediately, but Dosti know that they can afford to be patient and let the runs come.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 15:31
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 78-2 (15.4 overs)
Pieter Seelaar finds the breakthrough at Hazelaarweg, removing Stokkers for 45. Doc Mol in to join Young.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 15:27
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 85-6 (24.3 overs)
They can’t in fact mess it up. Brady Barends finishes it off with a fine looking straight drive for four. His bowling and VCC’s batting pretty much decided this game. Though VCC looked like they might have defended almost anything in three figures, 84 was never going to be enough.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 15:14
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
Dosti: 6-0 (1 over)
Zak Gibson starts from the Sportlaan End, bowling to Rahil Ahmed, who gets off the mark with a push through midwicket for two. . A couple of wides and a single to point, which brings Shahdab Ghori on strike.Another wide adds to a rather untidy opening over. And none other than Wesley Barresi will bowl from the Scoreboard End.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 15:17
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 75-6 (22.2 overs)
And Rasool gone now too, slaps Boissevain straight to cover. Sikander in. Surely they can’t mess this up from here?
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 15:11
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 69-4 (21 overs)
ACC not exactly romping to victory here, they lose their fifth as Mulready slices Mulder to backward point. Barends in at seven, Rasool still there on 30.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 15:01
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Excelsior : 11-0 (2 overs)
And at Thurlede too. Hoornweg and Bukhari with the new ball, Etman and Shankar for Excelsior.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 14:57
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
Quick : 31-0 (5 overs)
They’re back underway at Hazelaarweg, Stokkers and Diwan opening and a brisk start. 31 on the board after 5 overs.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 14:48
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 55-4 (16 overs)
Another change and another wicket, Stef Mulder into the attack and Marais with a huge top edge on the sweep. Boissevain under it and gone. Mulready in to join Rasool, who’s on 20*.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 14:36
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 46-3 (13 overs)
First bowling change here as Boissevain takes over from Kingma, and has a wicket with his 2nd ball. Saqib looking to brush that off his pads and is struck high on the pad. Looked very high from here to be honest but then it’s not up to me. Marais in. Glover to continue.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 14:30
HBS : 220 all out (49.1 overs)
The last-wicket stand is broken as De Mey tries a second as Amitoze Singh gathers the ball off his own bowling and returns to Ahmed, with De Mey well short. Diwan finishes with three for 45. That was a great recovery by Dosti, who maintained the pressure and restricted the scoring as the wickets began to fall. The spinners, Diwan, Hoseinbaks and Hans, were consistently effective, and although 220 is the highest total of the day, it’s well short of par on this quick artificial outfield.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 14:24
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 42-2 (10 overs)
Here at het Loopveld Glover and Kingma are still looking sharp, but the runs continue to come. Rasool has looked his average so far, he’s on 17*.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 14:18
HBS : 207-9 (47.1 overs)
Khan is beaten by Diwan and bowled. Three for the Dosti spinner, and in comes debutant Benno Boddendijk.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 14:13
VRA : 189 all out (50 overs)
And 189 is where VRA finish too, Szwarczynski creditably run out on the last ball for a crucial 61. Little else to write home about in the VRA innings though.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 14:10
Sparta : 189 all out (45 overs)
Bhatti wraps up the Sparta innings in quick time, knocking over Singh and Saleem with the first and last balls of the 45th. He finishes with 3-22, Sparta all out for 189.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 14:04
HBS : 196-8 (44 overs)
Another for Diwan as Gibson comes down the wicket, misses, and is bowled. Farshad Khan manages to survive the rest of the over.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 14:00
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 18-2 (4 overs)
Two down! Zulfiqar looking to pull a Glover bumper offers the tamest of catches to square leg. Saqib in at four.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 13:54
HBS : 189-7 (41.2 overs)
Diwan back from the Scoreboard End, and almost immediately he removes Vink, who was trying to swing him to leg. It’s all Dosti since the second drinks break.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 13:54
Sparta : 178-6 (40 overs)
Double strike for Excelsior to spike Sparta’s acceleration, Heggelman has Fletcher caught for 31 and Buurman is bowled Bhatti for 18. Snoep and Iqbal in.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 13:53
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 14-1 (3 overs)
Kingma gives the visitors something to cheer for as he sends Raza’s off stump cartwheeling past Croes, young Shirase Rasool in at 3 with quite an average to live up to this season. Kingma beats the bat three times in a row to finish a wicket maiden. They’ll need a few more of those though.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 13:53
VRA : 178-8 (47 overs)
Szwarczynski finds some belated support from Quirijn Gunning, and brings up his fifty in the 47th. Something to bowl at for VRA at least, but the hosts still the happier party,
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 13:46
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
ACC : 9-0 (1 over)
And we’re back here after a quick lunch, expensive first over from Kingma couple of no balls and nine from it. Raza and Rehmat opening, Glover from the other end.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 13:35
VOC : 168 all out (38.3 overs)
And the VOC tail collapse in a heap. Two more for Groenewald and a run out to wrap things up. Van Schelven the fielder adding a run out to his two wickets and two catches.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 13:35
HBS : 176-6 (36 overs)
That’s unlucky! Barresi drives Amitose Singh back straight, the bowler gets a hand onto it and into the stumps, and after consulting his partner umpire Van Giezen rules that Coster was out of his ground. Enter Ferdi Vink. And then Hans takes a stunning catch, diving to his left of his own bowling, to remove Barresi. Two wickets in two overs.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 13:34
Sparta : 163-4 (37 overs)
Bukhari’s been and gone at Thurlede meanwhile clean bowled by Ingram for 11, but Fletcher and Buurman are holding things together for the visitors. They’ve put on 35 for the 5th wicket and Sparta have a platform.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 13:25
HBS : 162-4 (35 overs)
We reach the second drinks break with the game nicely poised. Coster has begun brightly, and Barresi is threatening to cut loose. 250-plus looks on from here unless Dosti can pick up two or three quick wickets, and there’s a lively run chase in prospect.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 13:13
VRA : 142-8 (40 overs)
Turmaine doesn’t last long, LBW to Itagi, and Tom Long’s Topklasse career has yet to really take off, he’s caught off Klaus for 1. Drinks now with Szwarczynski still there on 38*
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 13:13
VOC : 156-7 (35 overs)
VOC in real trouble too now, van Schelven clean bowls van Baren, van Gigch runs out Durrani, VOC on the ropes at 156-7 now, Updadhayaya and Schoonheim in.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 13:13
HBS : 147-4 (32.4 overs)
Hans is back from the Sportlaan End, and he traps Gomes in front, down on one knee and sweeping. He goes for 37. Wessel Coster in at six.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 13:10
VRA : 129-6 (35 overs)
Itagi breaks the partnership, van den Burg caught for 38, and VRA back to collapse. Borren trapped LBW by Klaus and then Lees caught off Itagi. Turmaine joins Szwarczynski, who’s on 28*.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:56
VCC : 84 all out (32.3 overs)
And that’s the last. Mulder spoons Potdar up to Rasool at mid off, simple catch. Again VCC’s batting proves remarkably fragile after Smit goes, and he went cheaply today. Five for Brady Barends, three for Devanshu Arya, and four catches for Marais. ACC have been pretty clinical all told.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 12:54
Sparta : 119-3 (27 overs)
Another down at Thurlede, de Kok trapped LBW by Ingram, Bukhari in at five.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 12:53
HBS : 125-3 (27.3 overs)
Navjit despatches Hoseinbaks over the sightscreen and onto the path, but the next ball he runs down the pitch and is comprehensively bowled, for 15. Wesley Barresi joins Gomes, who’s on 27.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 12:46
HBS : 118-2 (26 overs)
Gomes’s superb running is a major plus for HBS, as he finds singles where you don’t expect it and can transform a single into two. We finally get spin at both ends, with Diwan switching to the Sportlaan End, in tandem with Hoseinbaks. The latter almost collects another return catch, off Navjit, but he just can’t cling on to it. This is a very good spell.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:46
VCC : 72-9 (30 overs)
And five for Brady Barends, Hamid given caught behind and VCC down to their last pair of Humphreys and Mulder.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 12:40
VOC : 115-5 (25 overs)
Hundred up for VOC too, but wickets continue to come. Van Schelven has two catches and a scalp of his own now, van Baren and Durrani in.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 12:40
Sparta : 111-2 (24 overs)
Nelson strikes at Thurlede, Tarr goes caught off Baker for a handsome 61 to bring Fletcher in to join de Kok.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 12:37
VRA : 101-3 (26 overs)
Hundred up for VRA meanwhile, still Szwarczynski and van den Burg.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:36
VCC : 64-8 (27 overs)
And Kingma gone too, outside edge flies high to backward point. Four for Barends. Hamid in at 10.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:28
VCC : 61-7 (26 overs)
The collapse continues here after a brief counter-attacking interlude from Kingma and Boissevain, the latter driving hard and low back at Barends who takes a cracking return catch. Humphrey in to join Kingma.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 12:25
HBS : 97-2 (20 overs)
D rinks claim their victim as Elkin, who has been looking untroubled, comes down the pitch to Hoseinbaks but fails to get on top of it and the bowler snaffles a crisp low catch. Elkin departs with a 64-ball 45, as Navjit Singh joins Gomes.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 12:25
VRA : 77-3 (22 overs)
Szwarczynski and van den Burg rebuilding for VRA, the latter on 20* and the former 7*.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 12:17
Sparta : 79-1 (17 overs)
De Kok and Tarr looking fairly settled for Sparta meanwhile, they’ve added 48 for the 2nd wicket now, Tarr on to 33*, de Kok on 18*. Gijs Kroesen and Rens van Troost bowling.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 12:12
HBS : 91-1 (18 overs)
Tewarie makes his second double change, with Asief Hoseinbaks on for Hans and Taruwar Kohli for the excellent Masood. But Elkin and Gomes continue their platform-building: Elkin the more aggressive of the pair as he moves on to 40, with Gomes content to push the ball around and rotate the strike. Which brings us to drinks.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 12:11
VOC : 98-3 (17 overs)
Wickets falling at Hazelaarweg now too, Daniel Mason on debut bags two scalps in the space of an over, Rutgers and van Lent back in the box, Seelaar and Edwards in now as VOC close on three figures.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:08
VCC : 36-6 (19 overs)
Voorburg falling apart here, Arya again and Croess drives low toward Sikander at short mid on, who takes an excellent low catch. Glover in and Glover out, LBW first ball. Kingma in an watchfully blocks out the over. He’s got a lot longer to bat than he usually does. Double wicket maiden.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 12:01
VCC : 33-4 (17 overs)
De Lange and Croes knuckling down here at het Loopveld, meanwhile. Or rather they were. Devanshu Arya has looked a handful since entering the attack, maiden last over and now has de Lange pinned in front. Boissevain in to join Croes, who’s on 15. Hosts well on top here. Saqib from the other end.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 11:55
VRA : 52-3 (13 overs)
Big wicket down at de Diepput meanwhile, as van den Burg runs out Cooper for four with a little help from Street’s direct hit. Szwarczynski in at five.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 11:51
HBS : 69-1 (12 overs)
A double bowling change, with Mahesh Hans replacing Diwan and Waheed Masood coming on for Davids. So the pace/spin policy continues, and the tempo slows marginally, Masood opening with a maiden to Gomes. Hans has gone for a couple of fours , both struck by Elkin (now on 27), but it’s Masood who’s stemmed the flow.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 11:48
VOC : 65-1 (11 overs)
Van Lent and Rutgers look unperturbed by the early loss of O’Dowd, rollicking along at almost a run a ball at Hazelaarweg.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 11:44
Sparta : 37-1 (10 overs)
Parchment has the first wicket for Excelsior meanwhile, Raza caught Kroesen for 15. De Kok in at 3
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 11:44
VCC : 24-3 (11 overs)
And another down, Barends bags his second as Nottle chases a bouncer down leg and nicks it through to Marais for his third catch. De Lange in at 5.
HCC vs VRA Amsterdam 11:38
VRA : 49-2 (9 overs)
VRA looking wobbly early again, Singh and Lake both get in and get out, the former falling to Ali Ahmed, the latter to Hidde Overdijk – who is playing his 100th game for HCC firsts today. Cooper and van den Burg for VRA now.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 11:29
HBS : 48-1 (6.3 overs)
Visée is playing an equal-opportunities innings, smacking Diwan back over his head for six and then doing the same to Davids. The next one’s short, and Visée, making to pull, bottom-edges it into the base of leg stump. He goes for a 21-ball 33, and is succeeded by Sharn Gomes.
Excelsior ‘20 vs Sparta 1888 11:27
Sparta : 31-0 (5 overs)
More promising start for Sparta at Thurlede meanwhile, where Raza and Garnett Tarr have taken them to 31 without loss after 5, Tom Heggelman has come in for some tap, conceding 18 off his first two overs and he makes way for Sohail Bhatti. Parchment still from the other end.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 11:25
VCC : 11-2 (6 overs)
And a big wicket here, Smit gone for 5! Shapes to cut Raza but can only provide Marais with another thin edge to snaffle behind the stumps. Nottle joins Croes
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 11:18
HBS : 29-0 (4 overs)
Dosti aren’t the first side to open with a spinner against Visée, but there’s no immediate sign of its working here. Partly that’s because Diwan hasn’t yet found his length, and the HBS captain is taking full advantage. Diwan has gone for 20 in two overs, and Visée has moved on to 20 himself, including three boundaries off the spinner.
VOC Rotterdam vs Quick Haag 10:16
VOC : 26-1 (3.1 overs)
First wicket down at Hazelaarweg too, Max O’Dowd gone, bowled Groenewald for a quickfire 16. Rutgers and van Lent at the crease now.
HBS Craeyenhout vs Dosti 11:06
HBS : 3-0 (1 over)
Anees Davids opens from the Sportlaan End, bowling to Zac Elkin, who gets off the mark with a single off the pads to fine leg. Tobias Visée then survives a big appeal for leg-before first up, and there’s a half shout as the next is deflected to slip. A single to square leg gets him going as well. Quite an eventful start, with Kuldeep Diwan to open up from the Scoreboard End.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 11:05
VCC : 1-1 (1 over)
Barends with ball in hand for ACC and bags an early breakthrough, Tom de Grooth flashing outside off and edges behind. Noah Croes joins Matt Smit in the middle.

Team news from the HBS camp is that work commitments prevent Berend Westdijk from playing, and he is replaced by Benno Boddendijk.
ACC Amsterdam vs Voorburg 10:35

Confounding the forecasts, we’ve some hazy sunshine to enjoy in Amsterdam this morning, and the temperature has climbed appreciably since last week too. The radar’s actually remarkably clear across the country, though there are spotty showers expected.

Good morning one and all, and welcome back for TK for Topklasse round 3. We’ve a full quota of five matches scheduled today, I’ll be at het Loopveld for ACC – Voorburg, whilst Rod and Sander are en route to Craeyenhout where HBS welcome Dosti. Meanwhile VOC and VRA are back in action after sitting out last week, the former taking on Quick Haag at Hazelaarweg and the latter headed down to de Diepput to face on HCC. Meanwhile at Thurlede Excelsior take on Sparta – we take stock of all today’s match-ups in our preview as ever.
