Bertus de Jong 18:59
So that’s a wrap from us today, HBS go clear at the top, VRA still winless at the bottom after three, and the mid table rather congested. Keep an eye out for reviews, previews and the excellent photos that Sander’s doubtless taken here today. We’ be back on Thursday for the extra Ascension Day round, until then this is Bertus de Jong signing off from the ever-delightful Amsterdamse Bos.

VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 18:46
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 255 all out (48.4 overs)
And all over here too, a stirling effort from Graber and Long, hard running and finding twos, but Westdijk cuts short a thrilling denouement by uprooting Graber’s off stump.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 18:42
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 174 all out (47.4 overs)
An echo of the final over of the Excelsior innings brings it to an end. Arya edges to third man, there’s a long chase for Bhatti, they come back for an optimistic third, Verhagen gathers, and his throw to the bowler’s end is quick and accurate enough to beat Arya home. ACC finish 47 short, with Raza not out on 67.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 18:35
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 249-9 (48 overs)
Gibson takes Lees’ off stump and you’d think that would be the game. Graber and Long last pair and a thick edge through the slips for four just keeps hope alive. 25 needed off the last two overs. Westdijk returns.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 18:35
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 167-9 (46.3 overs)
The writing’s in 112 point now, as Kumar clips Parchment to midwicket and Kroesen dives forward to take a great catch. Devanchu Arya the last man.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 18:35
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 241-8 (47 overs)
Gunning and Turmaine come and go, succumbing to the pressure of the asking rate. Lees seems to be thriving on it however, hitting out in some style He brings up his half-century with a lofted straight four as Barresi comes in for serious tap in the 47th, but still 33 needed off the last 3 and Lees is at the non-strikers.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 18:31
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 166-8 (45.3 overs)
Ten come off the next, keeping ACC more or less in the hunt, but when Baker returns to the attack he gets one to bounce prodigiously to Potdar. The next one skids through, and the young Amsterdammer is caught in front. Kumar comes in, with Raza on 63, but the writing’s on the wall.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 18:23
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 156-7 (44 overs)
Raza brings up his maiden Topklasse half-century as he moves up a gear or two: it’s all a bit late for ACC, one suspects, but by the end of Heggelman’s over he’s moved on to 57. ACC still need 66 to win, though, and it would take a remarkable effort to get them home from here.
Rod Lyall 18:22
Vikram Singh is the second 16-year-old to have registered a maiden century in the first month of the season. ACC’s Shirase Rasool became, we believe, the youngest ever top-flight centurion at 16 years 158 days, two weeks ago; Singh is 16 years 136 days old and has therefore broken that record after just a fortnight.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 18:18
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 202-6 (44 overs)
Barresi put a stop to the celebrations by clean bowling the young centurion next over, and Gunning comes in to join Lees and they’re running twos on justa bout anything. Boundaries needed now though.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 18:05
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 180-5 (40 overs)
Singh pushes de Mey back straight and jogs through to bring up his maiden Topklasse century. Lots to do from here though, asking rate over nine now as we head into the last ten. Time to hit out you’d say.
Quick Haag vs HCC 18:02
Quick : 169 all out (47.3 overs)
HCC : 171-1 (35.2 overs)
And Staal finishes it off for HCC, he ends on 86* including 7 sixes. Quick never looked in the game.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 17:57
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 128-7 (37.4 overs)
Barends seems to have understood the point, since he twice plants Shankar over cow for a four and a six off successive deliveries. But then Heggelman comes back from the Football Ground End, and his first delivery is edged low to Verhagen by Barends. An almost identical dismissal three balls later as Chris Knoll goes as well, bringing Shreyas Potdar in to join Raza, who’s on 33. That triggers another drink.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 17:53
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 170-5 (37 overs)
Breakthrough here meanwhile, and Wesley “triple threat” Barresi is the man to get it. Van den Burg on the slog-sweep and picks out the man on the deep square boundary. Singh still there on 94*, Lees in to join him and the asking rate climbing.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 17:47
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 113 all out (35.2 overs)
And all over at Berweg, Diwan fittingly with the coup de grace, he finishes with 3-15 as Sparta are bowled out for 113.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 17:45
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 112-5 (35 overs)
Slowly but surely, this game appears to be drifting away from ACC. Raza is batting steadily and has reached 31, but the asking rate is over sevens and it’s a little hard to see what the strategy is beyond survival.
Quick Haag vs HCC 17:45
Quick : 169 all out (47.3 overs)
HCC : 129-1 (22 overs)
HCC still cruising, Street on 22* and Staal on 64*. Just a matter of time at Nieuw Hanenburg too you’d think.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 17:26
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 158-4 (34 overs)
Singh into the 90s as they go to drinks. He needs 9 runs for a maiden century, VRA need 116 off the last 16 overs.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 17:24
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 106-8 (32.4 overs)
Sparta on the slide in a big way, Davids has Manminder Singh LBW and this games only going one way now.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 17:22
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC: 88-5 (26.3 overs)
Self-inflicted disaster for ACC: Sikander pushes to midwicket, comes looking for a single, is sent back as Van Troost gathers, and the direct hit beats his despairing dive. He made 27, and in comes Barends.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 17:22
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 184-4 (32 overs)
De Mey makes good his mistake by finding the breakthrough, Borren on the reverse first ball and pops up an easy catch for Visee behind the stumps, gone for 32. Skipper van den Burg joins Singh, who’s 87* is already a personal best.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 17:19
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 80-4 (25 overs)
Spin from both ends: Ingram from the Chalet End, and now Umar Baker from the other. The scoring’s mostly confined to ones and twos, with a liberal sprinkling of dots. Sikander has settled in after that flurry of fours, and has moved sedately to 25.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 17:18
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 106-7 (32 overs)
Buurman and Bukhari have come and gone, still 69 runs for the tail to get at Bermweg.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 17:18
VCC : 135 all out (37.5 overs)
VOC : 136-7 (36.2 overs)
VOC close it out in the end, VCC once again looking like they might have defended 160, but they didn’t have 160 to defend.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 17:11
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 134-3 (28 overs)
First real chance offered by Singh and it’s a hell of a chance, but de Mey shells a sitter. He moves into the 80s, Borren still with him on 32*, and has started sweeping the seamers.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 16:55
VCC : 135 all out (37.5 overs)
VOC : 124-7 (32 overs)
VOC have mnade a bit of a hash of this chase, but VCC haven’t been able to land been able to land the killing blow. Possibly not helped by their apparent reluctance to bring back their opening bowlers Kingma and Glover until late in the game. The latter’s back now, the former hasn’t been seen with ball in hand since his 3-wicket opening spell.
Quick Haag vs HCC 16:53
Quick : 169 all out (47.3 overs)
HCC : 75-0 (10 overs)
Itagi and Staal still rollicking along, just 10 overs in and the target nearly half-chased already..
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 16:49
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 65-4 (18 overs)
They take a drink, with Sikander Zulfiqar pushing the score along single-handed, apart from some gratuitous help from wides. Excelsior are very much in command here, and ACC need at least one major partnership and a substantial innings from somebody if they are to retain their unbeaten record.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 16:45
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 105-3 (21 overs)
Hundred up for VRA in the meantime, Sing into the 60s and Borren still with him, both comparatively becalmed at the moment, but a crucial partnership for VRA as they look to build a base.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 16:37
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 63-5 (19.3 overs)
Hans now for Dosti, de Kok gone for 17 and suddenly 174 doesn’t look too bad a score.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 16:34
VCC : 135 all out (36.5 overs)
VOC : 114-7 (28.3 overs)
VOC edge closer, but Clayton Floyd strikes for VCC, 22 runs to get for VOC, VCC need 3 wickets.

Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 16:33
Excelsior: 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC: 47-4 (14.5 overs)
Double bowling change at Thurlede, as Rens van Troost takes over from Heggelman, and Sohail Bhatti replaces Parchment at the Chalet End. A cracking cover drive from Sikander off Heggelman kept the board ticking over, but Marais produces a magnificent straight drive off Bhatti to show that he, too, means business. And as I write that, Bhatti gets one through, they all go up, and Marais sees the dread finger go up. Anis Raza joins Sikander.
Quick Haag vs HCC 16:25
Quick : 169 all out (47.3 overs)
HCC : 27-0 (3 overs)
Itagi and Staal showing plent of intent, Staal has two sixes to his name already and HCC going at nines.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 16:22
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 85-3 (15 overs)
Fifty up for Singh, Borren on 12, 85-3 in 15 as they take drinks.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 16:19
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 37-3 (11 overs)
And Saqib goes! Parchment has beaten his bat several times in that over, but the final delivery takes a big edge and Roel Verhagen moves to his right to take a regulation catch. Saqib doesn’t even look at the umpire, since they probably heard the nick in the centre of Schiedam. Jean Marais joins Sikander in the middle.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 16:16
VCC : 135 all out (36.5 overs)
VOC : 100-6 (21.2 overs)
Game very much still on at Westvliet, just 36 more to get but VOC’s top order is long departed. Van Baren the sole survivor of the top 6, currently on 15*
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 16:12
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 36-4 (14.5 overs)
Another down at Bermweg,. Hosienbaks bags Singh and the hosts in real trouble.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 16:08
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 61-3 (12 overs)
Singh loses another partner, Matt Lake on the pull facing Gibson and feeds a dolly to the man on the rope at fine leg. Borren in to join Singh, who’s into the 40s.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 16:06
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 27-2 (7.3 overs)
That first wicket certainly seems to have fired Excelsior up, Heggelman and Parchment bowling now with fire and (mostly) accuracy. And it brings another wicket as Rasool, having made 5, is caught in front by the Excelsior skipper. The pitch certainly isn’t getting any easier, either, and ACC need a period of determined consolidation from Saqib and Sikander Zulfiqar.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 15:58
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 20-3 (10 overs)
And Diwan again, Fletcher’s miserable season with the bat continues as he’s trapped LBW for 3.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 15:54
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 56-2 (10 overs)
Cooper pulls out the old “Voorburg Drive”shouldering arms to a Gibson deliver that shapes back in and keeps low, clattering into the stumps. Lake joins Singh, who’s looking pretty good as ever on 38*.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 15:53
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC : 19-1 (4.3 overs)
A couple of crisp boundaries from Rehmat and one rather fortunate one, edged through the slips, but then Parchment traps him in front. He made 14, and is succeeded by Shirase Rasool.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 15:44
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 40-1 (8 overs)
Szwarczynski falls victim to a speculative, solitary appeal from Westdijk, who seems as surprised as anyone when the finger goes up. Szwarczynski not amused, HBS very amused indeed. Cooper in at 3.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 15:41
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 15-2 (7.3 overs)
And another down, Raza trapped LBW by Diwan for 8.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 15:38
Excelsior: : 221-7 (50 overs)
ACC: : 1-0 (1 over)
Brothers Saqib and Rehmat Zulfiqar open for ACC, with Parchment bowling to the former from the Chalet End. Just the single from it, and Heggelman from the Football Ground End to Saqib.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 15:33
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Sparta : 14-1 (5.3 overs)
Sparta off to an uncertain start in this modest chase, Garnett Tarr the first wicket to fall, run out in the 6th over.
Quick Haag vs HCC 15:30
Quick : 169 all out (47.3 overs)
And after Bredenkamp departs for a well-made half century, Quick swiftly subside. Thijs van Schelven managed a creditable 28 down the order but other contributions were slight. Street the pick of the bowlers with 3-44, and HCC the happier side at the break you’d think.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 15:25
VCC : 135 all out (36.5 overs)
VOC : 48-4 (12.4 overs)
Two more down, Kingma responsible for both. Three for him now. Game on?
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 15:20
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
VRA : 9-0 (2 overs)
And we’re back on here at the Bos too, Singh and Szwarczynski opening for VRA, Singh finds the first boundary of the innings driving Gibson handsomely through extra cover on the second ball of the second over, quiet start otherwise.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 15:01
VCC : 135 all out (36.5 overs)
VOC : 26-2 (7.3 overs)
And they’re back underway at Westvliet too, Kingma and Glover both have an early wicket but they’ll need a few more of those if they’re to defend 135.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 14:57
Excelsior : 221-7 (50 overs)
The skipper comes and goes, but Ingram flows on, accelerating in exemplary fashion and reaching a splendid century with a magnificent pull over square leg for six. He holes out next ball, dropping short to Rasool and giving Saqib a third wicket, but it’s a job well done. Saqib picks up a fourth as Marais stumps Shankar, and it’s left to Heinsbroek and Rens van Troost to face Barends’ final over. They produce a piece of Keystone Cops farce as the former drops the ball onto the crease, Van Troost appears at his end, and he and the keeper race to the bowler’s end, the batsman winning as ACC manage not to break the wicket. Seven off the over, and Excelsior will be happy with that total, I reckon.
Quick Haag vs HCC 14:50
Quick : 129-6 (40 overs)
Berdenkamp still there on 46* but Ekelmans gone LBW, van Schelven in and a lot of work to do in the last ten.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 14:34
Excelsior : 175-4 (44 overs)
But after his bright little cameo Kroesen smacks Saqib waist-high to Barends at mid-off, and he makes no mistake. Heggelman in, and Ingram has moved on to 71.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 14:33
Dosti : 174 all out (46.4 overs)
Dosti have collapsed in a heap meanwhile, just 14 added for the last four wickets as Hoornweg and Fletcher mop up the tail.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 14:29
Excelsior 166-3 (43 overs)
Croesen starts strongly, and races to 18 by dint of lofting Barends back over his head for six and then playing an extraordinary shot, pivoting to scoop the ball behind square for four. With Ingram well set, Excelsior are clearly looking to capitalize on the platform Ingram and Parchment constructed.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 14:25
HBS : 273-2 (50 overs)
Barresi injects some much-needed momentum into the innings, a couple of deft reverse sweeps and a rolling lap over the shoulder pushes up the run rate. Elkin completes a chanceless hundred at the other end with a swept two off Turmaine, then cuts loose in the final over, putting Graber away over midwicket and then sweeping hard for four more, Barresi looks to go big and straight on the last ball, goes high instead but the ball drops safe behind mid off. Story of the innings really. He finishes on 21*, Elkin 116*, 273 the total.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 14:16
Dosti : 160-6 (43.1 overs)
Singh brings up his fifty but doesn’t last long after, caught off Fletcher for 54, but he’s ensure Dosti have something to bowl at at least.
Quick Haag vs HCC 14:10
Quick : 107-5 (30 overs)
Bredenkamp loses his partner and skipper Daan Vierling to a fine catch at second slip and is joined by Ekelmans. Bredenkamp on 34* as Quick pass the hundred mark.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 14:07
Excelsior : 139-3 (39.1 overs)
They’ve taken a second drink, and the first ball after the break, from Barends to Parchment, generates a big appeal for leg-before. The umpire’s finger goes up, and Parchment has to go, having made 45. He’s succeeded by Joost Kroesen.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 14:05
HBS : 225-2 (46.3 overs)
And a belated second wicket falls here, rank full toss from Cooper is pulled straight into the hads of Szwarczynski at deep square leg. Gomes gone for 62, Elkin in the 90’s now is joined by Barresi.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 13:55
HBS : 200-1 (43 overs)
Attritional stuff here, Gomes and Elkin looking to force the pace but VRA’s bowling has been disciplined. Ben Cooper’s looping offspin has proved tough to get away, Borren with a tight line from the Mulders end.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 13:51
Excelsior : 134-2 (36 overs)
And Ingram posts his fifty, lofting Arya effortlessly over extra cover and into the water to move to 49 and then pushing a single. Next over he goes aerial again, pulling a Knoll full toss even further over midwicket. Excelsior need an acceleration here, and Ingram looks keen to apply it. He’s on 58 now, with Parchment on 43.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 13:46
Dosti : 118-5 (36.4 overs)
Hoornweg strikes again, Hans’ vigil brough to an end, caught de Kok for 21.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 13:45
VCC : 135 all out (~38 overs)
Vivian Kingma has played a defiant hand for VCC, dragging his side into triple figures and top-scoring with 44. He’s last man out though, VCC all out for 135.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 13:35
Excelsior : 106-2 (32 overs)
Ingram is scoring more freely now, and has moved on to 38, with Parchment on 35. Arya has returned at the Chalet End, while Chris Knoll replaces Raza, whose tidy ten-over spell cost just 30 runs and earned respect from both batsmen.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 13:35
Dosti : 100-4 (30 overs)
Hundred up for Dosti meanwhile. Still Hans and Singh.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 13:25
HBS : 161-1 (37 overs)
150 up here meanwhile, and fifty for Elkin. Turmaine back into the attack from the City End, Tom Long at the Mulders end, been a while since we’ve seen anything that looks like a chance though.
Quick Haag vs HCC 13:25
Quick : 61-4 (17 overs)
Young and Mol both gone now, the former dragging on and the latter spectacularly caught in the slips by Tyrone Peters, who’s on as a sub for Adam Wiffen who we understand has taken himself to hospital with a hand injury suffered trying to catch a screamer off Mol earlier. Vierling in the middle now with Jean Bredenkamp, who’s making a special guest appearance after his WCLD2 successes.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 13:09
Excelsior : 87-2 (24 overs)
Parchment overtakes Ingram at a canter, helped by some indifferent bowling from Saqib, who’s hitting way too full a length. Raza’s found a better spot, but the runs continue to flow, and Ingram plays a lovely, fluent sweep off Raza as the partnership begins to assume serious proportions.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 13:07
Dosti : 81-4 (30 overs)
Singh and Hans entrusted with the rebuilding effort for Dosti, has been hard work out there for them and they’ve managed just 16 runs in the 7 overs since Kohli’s departure.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 13:05
HBS : 139-1 (30 overs)
Elkin and Gomes looking altogether set here, and VRA’s impressive start in the field seems to be falling away. Fair few misfields helping HBS along now. Solid platform here and 300 on the cards with the batting to come.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 13:00
VCC : 84-8 (25.3 overs)
And another, Glover gone. 8-down now, VCC in free-fall.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 12:55
VCC : 80-7 (23.5 overs)
More wickets at Westvliet, seven down now, Croes the last to go, top scorer so far with 31.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 12.51
Excelsior 63-2 (19 overs)
Parchment announces his arrival with a cracking straight drive off Kumar which races to the sightscreen. The result is that Saqib Zulfiqar decides to have a twirl himself. The running between Ingram and Parchment is a pleasure in itself, while ACC are getting through their overs at an impressive clip. 19 overs bowled before the first drinks break.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 12:45
Dosti : 65-4 (22.5 overs)
Big wicket at Bermweg, Bukhari has Kohli caught for 36.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 12.35
Excelsior 42-2 (14.2 overs)
Etman clips Kumar a little uppishly off his toes, and Barends at midwicket dives to his left to take the catch millimetres from the ground. Branton Parchment in at four.
Quick Haag vs HCC 12:33
Quick : 17-2 (5 overs)
Not the best of starts for Quick, Stokkeres plays on to Qasim, who then finds Diwan’s stumps unaided. Young and Mol in.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 12:32
VCC : 74-5 (19.2 overs)
Wickets falling at Westvliet again now after a stabilizing stand between Floyd and Kroes, Floyd caught, Razzaqi bowled, VCC five down and in trouble.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 12:28
Excelsior 38-1 (12 overs)
Two more cracking shots by Etman off Barends, but the South African has also beaten both batsmen’s bats on occasion. Anis Raza takes over from him after a lively five-over spell, while at the Chalet End Aryan Kumar has replaced Arya. Etman now on 23, Ingram watchfully on to 12.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 12:25
Dosti : 56-3 (19.4 overs)
Double breakthrough at Bermweg meanwhile, Saleem has Ghori caught for 19 with the second ball of the 19th, then Tewarie caught behind two balls later.
Quick Haag vs HCC 12:25
Quick : 10-0 (3 overs)
And we’re belatedly underway at Nieuw Hanenburg, Stokkers and Diwan for the hosts, Overdijk and Qasim for the visitors.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 12:04
HBS : 79-1 (16 overs)
Things have calmed down rather here since Visee’s departure, as they usually do. Graber has taken over from Gunning at the City End, Borren relieves Turmaine at Mulders, both have been tidy and VRA sharp in the field. Some sardonic celebrations when Borren took a one-handed catch off a bump ball a few overs ago have provided the most entertainment since the more phlegmatic Gomes replaced Visee. He’s on 3, Elkin on 21.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 12:01
Excelsior : 14-1 (5 overs)
Etman has produced two lovely shots, a superb drive through extra cover off Barends (who responds with a bouncer and a beautifully-pitched outswinger which just fails to take the edge), and a square drive off Arya. But Barends in particular is looking very sharp indeed.
Sparta 1888 vs Dosti-United 11:55
Dosti : 40-1 (13 overs)
Kohli and Ghori have looked steady since the early loss of Rahil Ahmed, they’ve added 36 for the 2nd wicket.
Quick Haag vs HCC 11:52
Some progress at Nieuw Hanenburg, the covers are off, aiming for a 12.05 start, no overs lost as yet.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 11:47
Excelsior : 0-1 (1.3 overs)
But he doesn’t last long, as Barends bowls a full, straight delivery third up, and it crashes into the stumps. Lorenzo Ingram in, a lot earlier than he would have hoped.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 11:45
Excelsior : 0-0 (1 over)
ACC open with spin, Devanshu Arya operating from the Chalet End to Tim Etman. He starts with a maiden. Brady Barents will bowl from the Football Ground End, with Roel Verhagen restored to his opening role.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 11:42
VCC : 18-3 (7 overs)
Another down at Westvleit as Nottle departs LBW.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 11:42
HBS : 64-1 (11 overs)
Gunning produces another maiden for the 9th, this time with Visee on strike so no mean achievement. The pressure tells in the next over, as Visee steps down and tries to clear mid off, who tracks back and holds a fine high catch falling backwards. Visee goes for 47 off not many balls, Gomes at three and a huge shout for caught behind as Lees graps one in front of 1st slip. Denied. Hard to see how it could end up there except off the bat but VRA don’t seem too upset.
VCC vs VOC Rotterdam 11:25

Some team news from the Excelsior camp: Gijs Kroesen makes way for Rens Heinsbroek, a change which will strengthen the home side’s batting line-up. ACC make two changes, with Aryan Kumar and Chris Knoll returning in place of James Mulready and Gregor Tims.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 11:20
HBS : 39-0 (5 overs)
And sure enough, Visee is off to a flier again. He’s on 39* having put Gunning out of the ground in successive overs. Straight to spin at the other end as Turmaine takes over from Graber.

Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 11:06
And at Thurlede, Excelsior have won the toss and will bat. The game is scheduled to start at 11:40, provided there’s no more rain. And if it’s not exactly vivid, there is at least a hint of sunshine!
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 11:05
HBS : 13-0 (2 overs)
Maiden to start from Quirijn Gunning, first runs of the day come as a wide first up from Brandon Graber eludes Mitch Lees behind the stumps and runs to the rope. Expensive over in the end, 13 from it. Visee looking in belligerent mood again, he’s opening with Elkin we think.

Quick Haag vs HCC 10:45
And HCC win the toss at Nieuw Hanenburg, but the covers are back on now. Looks like it’s gonna be one of those days.
VRA Amsterdam vs HBS 10:44
The hosts have the toss here at the Bos, general feeling is it’s a good one to win. They’ll be bowling first under patchy cloud as the VRA turf wicket gets its first game of the season.
Excelsior ‘20 vs ACC 10:40
I don’t want to sound unduly optimistic, but it’s looking a little brighter here at Thurlede. No immediate sign of action, though.
Rod Lyall 10:16
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. I’m at Thurlede today, where it’s currently spitting with rain. That’s likely to continue for some time, so we may be in for a frustrating wait. On the other hand, this is the Netherlands, so anything’s possible. We could be in for a snowstorm, or a sudden breakthrough of vivid sunshine. Bertus is on his way to the Amsterdamse Bos, where VRA are due to take on HBS Craeyenhout. As always, we’ll be bring you all the action once it starts happening. And in the meantime, you can check out our wild assessments of what may or may not happen. Or enjoy Sander Tholen’s photos of last week’s HBS-Dosti match.
