Topklasse Live | Round 5 | As it Happened

 Bertus de Jong  19:36
Well that’s a wrap from us, HBS still clear at the top of the table with ACC and HCC keeping pace, VRA unchallenged at the bottom on none from four, though with a game in hand over Quick, VCC and Sparta. We’ll be back on Saturday of course for Round 6. Do join us then

Capture
The Topklasse table after Round 5

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  19:20
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 231 all out (47.3 overs)
Raja goes eventually, caught by Arief Hoseinbaks off Singh, but Cooper continues on his merry way, hitting a fifth six before he is finally bowled by Singh with 32 still needed. His 144 came from 127 balls and included 15 fours as well as those five sixes. Singh finishes with three for 16 from a very tidy spell indeed, and Dosti take the points. For the second match in a row, though, VRA make a decent fist of chasing a big total, and if they can find a way of putting sides under greater pressure early, they clearly have the batting to chase even decent scores.

 HCC vs Voorburg  19:12
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 174 all out (47.? overs)
And VCC left themselves too much to do in the end too, a rapid collapse at the death, Overdijk and Street clean up the tail.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  19:03
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 218-8 (45 overs)
It all hinges now on Cooper staying there, and getting enough of the strike. Raja is doing a great job for his side, but with the asking rate at tens the odds are powerfully with Dosti. Cooper’s unbeaten 132 is a magnificent effort, though.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  18:59
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 225 all out (46 overs)
Ahh well, a valiant effort nonetheless.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  18:51
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 212-9 (45 overs)
Quick don’t seem to know when they’re beat, Brain and Diwan have 38 for the last wicket, they need ten an over off the last five but stranger things have happened.

 HCC vs Voorburg  18:46
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 154-5 (44 overs)
Scoreboard pressure telling now, Overdijk profitting. Floyd bowled, Boissevain stumped. Pressure on Smit now.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  18:45
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 187-8 (39.5 overs)
Leon Turmaine falls to a very sharp catch by Arief Hoseinbaks off the bowling of Amitoze Singh, and we enter the endgame. Cooper’s still there, though, on 108, as the rain clouds build up behind us.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  18:36
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
Sparta : 130 all out (32.3 overs)
All over at het Loopveld too, Saqib Zulfiqar finishing with 5-34 as Sparta are skittled for 130.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  18:35
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 173-7 (38.1 overs)
Cooper has moved on to 96 when Gunning, on 21, skies Diwan high to fly slip, where Tewarie takes the catch. The next over’s from Tewarie, and Cooper reaches a well-deserved hundred with a four behind square. It’s not all over yet.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  18:27
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
VOC : 156-5 (34.2 overs)
No, they don’t. Jelte Schoonheim smashes an impatient 27 off 11 balls and everyone can go home early.

 HCC vs Voorburg  18:26
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 127-3 (40 overs)
73 needed from the last ten for VCC, which our more arithmetically minded readers will know translates as 7.3 per over. Nic Smit and Clayton Floyd in the middle.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  18:16
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
Sparta : 111-8 (25.2 overs)
The collapse continues at het Loopveld, Salim caught off Barends.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  18:17
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 173-9 (38 overs)
Writing’s on the wall for Quick now, Barresi breaks Mol and Brand’s 8th wicket partnership, Brand bowled for 23 and Mol goes in like fashion for 48. 92 still needed for the final wicket

 HCC vs Voorburg  18:08
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 106-3 (36 overs)
And Smit gone now, well caught off Itagi by Street. VCC still have wickets to play with but the asking rate’s closing on 7 an over now.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  18:07
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
VOC : 127-5 (31 overs)
Excelsior are showing some belated fight, Rens van Troost removes van Lent, and then Heggelman strikes twice in succession to dismiss Rutgers for 56 and then van Baren for 6. Skipper Seelaar goes for a duck as Bhatti claims his first. Edwards and Seelaar the two new batsmen, just 28 to get but do Excelsior smell blood?

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  18:06
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 140-6 (33 overs)
Davids returns, and Cooper welcomes him with a massive blow over long on nd onto the korfbal court. The next one is edged fine for four, and the over costs 13 in all. In Davids’s next over Cooper plants him into the sightscreen for another six. With Gunning hanging in there, Cooper seems intent on winning this single-handed; he’s on 85 now.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  17:56
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
Sparta : 102-7 (22 overs)
After a solid opening partnership Sparta have collapsed in a heap. Six wickets for 60 runs and, 171 suddenly looking a good score.

 HCC vs Voorburg  17:52
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 93-2 (32 overs)
Croes caught behind, VCC two down and have rather played themselves into trouble here. Asking rate pushing six an over.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  17:39
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 93-6 (23.5 overs)
The trouble deepens further, as Lees is bowled by Asief Hoseinbaks without scoring. Gunning in, but miracles are required from here.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  17:36
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 92-5 (23.5 overs)
Long had struck a splendid straight six off Hans on his way to 16, but the off-spinner has his revenge by getting him caught by Singh at slip. Cooper, on 44, is joined by Mitch Lees, but VRA are in deep trouble now.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  17:29
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
VOC : 85-1 (22 overs)
And the first down at Hazelaarweg too, Max O’Dowd bowled by former team-mate Umar Baker for 37. Seb van Lent in at 3 to join Rutgers, who’s on 43*.

 HCC vs Voorburg  17:27
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 65-1 (23 overs)
First wicket falls at de Diepput, de Grooth bowled for 31. Croes in at three.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  17:17
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 123-6 (26 overs)
Doc Mol has returned and is in the middle of a rebuilding effort, aided by Stephan Ekelmans. Both in the 20s now but Quick still well adrift.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  17:10
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 69-4 (17 overs)
They take a drink at Drieburg with Cooper, who has played some fine strokes, now on 34 and receiving some support from Tom Long. Mahesh Hans has replaced Diwan at the Amstel Station End, with Kohli operating from the other. VRA a long way off the pace, but as long as Cooper’s there they still have a chance.

 HCC vs Voorburg  17:07
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 53-0 (20 overs)
Fifty opening stand for Smit and de Grooth meanwhile.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  17:06
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
Sparta : 41-1 (9 overs)
Scratch that, Kumar finds the breakthrough, Tarr caught for 24.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  17:04
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
Sparta : 38-0 (8 overs)
Second innings wickets still entirely confined to Drieburg and Craeyenhot it seems. Sparta 38 without loss after 8.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  16:53
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 46-4 (12.5 overs)
Emile van den Burg and Cooper set about rebuilding the innings, but when Kohli replaces Davids the VRA skipper edges to slip, where Amitoze Singh takes the overhead catch. Tom Long joins Cooper, who’s reached 19.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  16:52
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
VOC : 56-0 (11 overs)
Similar story at Hazelaarweg, Rutgers and O’Dowd progressing rapidly toward the less-than-imposing total.

 HCC vs Voorburg  16:50
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 43-0 (15 overs)
Smit and de Grooth still for VCC. HCC still looking for the first breakthrough.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  16:47
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 96-6 (18 overs)
The slide continues at Craeyenhout.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  16:39
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 38-3 (8.5 overs)
And now Borren goes, failing to get on top of a Davids delivery and brilliantly caught at short cover by Diwan. Emile van den Burg in with VRA reeling.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  16:32
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 29-2 (7.5 overs)
Kuldeep Diwan replaces Masood, whom Singh had smitten over midwicket for six in his first over, and the spinner removes last week’s record-breaking centurion, bowled for 18. Peter Borren joins Ben Cooper, who almost fell to what would have been a brilliant catch by Ahmed in Davids’s last over.

 HCC vs Voorburg  16:26
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
VCC : 20-0 (5 overs)
Steady start for VCC too. Smit and de Grooth in the middle.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  16:23
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
VOC : 22-0 (5 overs)
VOC steady after the restart meanwhile, Rutgers and O’Dowd opening.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  16:18
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 19-1 (4.2 overs)
Davids beats Lake all ends up, and a stump goes flying! Ben Cooper in at three.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  16:17
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 78-5 (13 overs)
Wickets still tumbling at Craeyenhout, Coster cleans up Vierling, Vink has van Schelven caught behind and Doc Mol meanwhile has retired hurt, so Quick effectively six down.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  16:03
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
VRA : 0-0 (1 over)
Vikram Singh and Matt Lake open for VRA, with Anees Davids starting with a maiden to Singh from the Korfbal Court End. Waheed Masood has the new ball at the Amstel Station End.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  15:53
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 51-2 (7 overs)
And now Young gone too as Coster holds a return catch.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:53
ACC : 171 all out (44.4 overs)
And a brainless run-out to finish, ACC manage just 171 in the end after a promising start, barring a few egregious exceptions it’s been an excellent effort in the field from Sparta, and with the ball by Mudassar Bukhari, who finishes with figures of 6-26.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  15:47
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 46-2 (5 overs)
Double strike for HBS, Bob van Gigch bowled by Wesdijk and then Bista brilliantly caught at cover by Gomes.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:43
ACC : 159-8 (43 overs)
Mulready on something of a counter-attack, driving Hoornweg through extra for four on the last ball of the 42nd, but Bukhari makes him his fifth victim two balls later firing yorker into the base of off stump. Kumar in, Kumar out. Six for Bukhari as another yorker pins him in front. Saidi survives the hat-trick ball, just.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  15:36
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Quick : 27-0 (3 overs)
Quick racing out of the blocks after the break, Bista driving the scoring. He’s on 18* after three and they’re going at nines.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  15:30
Excelsior 154 all out (49.1 overs)
Woutersen last man out in the end, caught off van Baren with 5 balls to go, but not before he’d racked up his maiden Topklasse half-century.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:28
ACC : 144-7 (39 overs)
Bukhari is on fire here, that’s his fourth as Barends’ off stump abandons him. Potdar in at nine.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  15:22
Dosti : 262-9 (50 overs)
Make that something in the vicinity of 260. Dosti lose seven wickets in the last ten overs, but they won’t care too much about that: a flurry of scoring, including a huuuuuuge six by Waheed Masood in the final over, gets them up to a very sizeable total indeed. Brandon Graber and Leon Turmaine finish with identical figures of four for 56, but it’s Taruwar Kohli’s 89 which will live in the memory. The VRA bowlers stuck to the task well, and the fielders – especially Borren, Van den Burg, and Matt Lake – took some good catches.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  15:20
Excelsior 104-9 (47 overs)
Woutersen playing a lone hand for Excelsior, he loses Umar Baker to a run out, Sohail Bhatti last man. Woutersen on 41*

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:18
ACC : 130-6 (37 overs)
And another for Bukhari, Marais LBW, Mulready joins Barends.

 HCC vs Voorburg  15:16
HCC : 199 all out (49.5 overs)
A lively 18 from last man Ollie Klaus gets HCC to 199, but that’s where they’ll stay as he’s stumped off Mulder off what would otherwise have been the penultimate ball.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:15
ACC : 127-5 (36.1 overs)
That was a handy partnership, but Bukhari puts an end to it first ball after drinks, Raza caught behind, Barends in.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  15:08
ACC : 127-4 (36 overs)
This has been a handy partnership between Marais and Raza, it’s worth 36 now and they’re clearly looking to accelerate, though not without risk. We’ve seen a few edges dropping short or safe, Bukhari creditably acknowledging a near miss that he looked to have taken cleanly at backward point. 127-4 as they take drinks.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  14:58
Dosti : 225-6 (46.1 overs)
A third wicket for Turmaine as Diwan holes out to Van den Burg on the midwicket boundary. VRA are fighting back well here, but they’re still likely to be chasing something in the vicinity of 240.

 HCC vs Voorburg  14:46
HCC : 171-8 (42 overs)
Another down at de Diepput too, Vechhi LBW, Lagas in.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  14:46
Excelsior 104-8 (40 overs)
Said ends the obduracy, van Troost caught behind for 8. Baker joins Woutersen.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  14:44
Dosti : 218-5 (43.4 overs)
Kohli goes, missing out on his hundred when he chases a Graber delivery down the leg side and gets a fine tickle to Lees behind the stumps. Next ball Vinoo Tewarie is trapped in front, and Anees Davids joins Kuldeep Diwan, who’s on 10.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  14:39
Excelsior 91-7 (37.2 overs)
Woutersen and van Troost are making an obdurate stand for the 8th at Hazelaarweg, they’ve added 22 in the space of nine overs. Said and Schoonheim for VOC now.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  14:37
HBS : 264-7 (50 overs)
Gibson and Coster’s counter-attacking fifty partnership for the 8th wicket ensures the Crows take some momentum to lunch, Gibson finishes on 33*, Coster on 16*.

 HCC vs Voorburg  14:35
HCC : 159-7 (38 overs)
HCC’s middle order have done a good job undoing all of Itagi and Gorlee’s good work, Mulder cleans up Walhaine for 10. Ali Ahmed in.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  14:30
ACC : 88-4 (27 overs)
And the pressure tells, Sikander chops Salim into the hands of Raza at backward point. His namesake comes in at six.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  14:29
Dosti : 194-3 (40.2 overs)
Fifty for Amitoze Singh as well, and the partnership passes 100. A superb cover drive from Kohli is the shot of the day, but Singh matches it with a meatier off drive in the same Borren over. But when Turmaine comes back in place of Raja, Singh lofts him to cow, where Borren (who else?) runs in to clutch a finger-tip catch inches from the ground. He departs for 54.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  14:24
ACC : 85-3 (25 overs)
Sparta’s attack have kept things tight here, Salim and Fletcher in tandem and pressure building on Marais and Zulfiqar.

 HCC vs Voorburg  14:15
HCC : 142-6 (34 overs)
Wicket for Boissevain brings Walhaine to the middle to join Vecchi.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  14:10
HBS : 208-7 (44.2 overs)
Vink goes now as HBS stumble at the finish, well held by Bista at deep mid off off the bowling of Mol.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  14:06
Dosti : 143-2 (34 overs)
Kohli reaches his half-century with a delicate tickle past the keeper to the sightscreen; he survived one very confident appeal off Long when he misjudged a pull shot, but otherwise it has seemed. VRA were convinced they had Singh, too, caught behind off Cooper, but the umpire was unpersuaded. And Dosti could be on for a big total here.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  14:05
Excelsior 69-7 (28.1 overs)
Wheels coming off entirely for Excelsior now, van Baren has Shankar LBW, Hosur lasts just four balls before offering a return catch to Seelaar, who then has Heggelman caught in his next over. Woutersen and van Troost in the middle now and three figures looks a long way off.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  14:02
HBS : 205-6 (43.2 overs)
Gomes evidently decided it was time to accelerate, putting Brand out of the ground on the first ball of the 44th, but accelerates his own end next ball when Mol holds a fine catch in the deep. Gomes does for 81, Gibson in.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  14:02
ACC : 69-3 (19 overs)
After an uncharacteristically sedate 22 off 39, Rehmat has to go owing to the state of his off stump, which Usman Salim’s fifth ball has left at a jaunty angle. Marais at five.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  13:58
HBS : 199-5 (43 overs)
Gomes soldiering on for HBS. He has 74 runs to his name now and Ferdi Vink for company heading into the death.

 HCC vs Voorburg  13:52
HCC : 123-5 (29 overs)
Two in two for Vivian Kingma, cleaning up Gorlee for 52 and then repeating the trick to send Overdijk back the way he came on the next ball.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  13:47
ACC : 58-2 (15 overs)
And Rasool gone here, pulling de Kok into the hands of Fletcher at deepish midwicket. Sikander in.

 HCC vs Voorburg  13:40
HCC : 120-3 (27 overs)
Breakthrough at de Diepput too, Itagi gone, caught for 54. Gorlee brings up his fifty soon after though, and HCC have a platform if the middle order can take advantage.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  13:39
HBS : 171-5 (38 overs)
Gomes loses another partner as Julian de Mey is caught off Brand for 18.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  13:33
Excelsior 52-4 (20 overs)
Another down at Hazelaarweg, as Seelaar pins Parchment in front. A shade of bat in there? Not according to the umpire. Shankar in.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  13:33
Dosti : 100-2 (25 overs)
The hundred comes up at Drieburg, with Kohli looking ominous and Singh beginning to take the bowling on as well. Tom Long on at the Korfbal Court End, with Ben Cooper pressed into service at the other.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  13:27
ACC : 44-1 (11 overs)
Hoornweg returns from the City End now with the wind at his back, starts his second spell with a maiden to Rasool. Looks like Tim de Kok coming into the attack from the Amstel End.

 HCC vs Voorburg  13:20
HCC : 76-2 (19 overs)
Gorlee and Itagi still, and they’ve recovered the situation well for HCC.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  13:17
Excelsior 36-3 (14 overs)
Heggelman and Parchment knuckling down for Excelsior, runs are hard to come by though. Kamawi and O’Dowd for VOC now.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  13:16
Dosti : 81-2 (20.5 overs)
Turmaine gets the breakthrough as Ahmed, just after slicing him in front of point for a couple, comes down the pitch and lofts him straight to Gunning at deepish mid-off. Amitoze Singh joins Kohli, who’s on 31.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  13:13
HBS : 141-4 (31 overs)
Gomes gets his fifty but loses his partner as Barresi gifts Thijs van Schelven a catch off Bista.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  13:12
ACC : 19-1 (7 overs)
Rehmat and Saqib looked to be going nicely, aided by some pretty ordinary fielding, but a shorter ball outside off from Bukhari temps Saqib into an ill-advised cut into the hands of Tarr at backward point. Wicket maiden, Rasool in at 3.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  13:03
HBS : 127-3 (30 overs)
Barresi and Gomes still for HBS, and a solid platform now despite the early wickets.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  13:02
ACC : 7-0 (3 overs)
No runs off the bat for Bukhari’s first over, just a single wide spoiling it. Hoornweg is off after one as Fletcher takes over from the Amstel End, just one off it.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  12:58
Dosti : 67-1 (17 overs)
Drinks at Drieburg, with the stand now extended to 58 – Ahmed, particularly strong off his pads as always, has moved on to 31, with Kohli on 25. Leon Turmaine has replaced Gunning, but Dosti are building a very promising platform here.

 HCC vs Voorburg  12:55
HCC : 58-2 (14 overs)
Gorlee and Itagi rebuilding for HCC meanwhile, closing in on a fifty partnership for the third wicket.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  12:51
ACC : 5-0 (1 over)
And we’re off! Max Hoornweg opens the bowling for Sparta, Rehmat and Saqib Zulfiqar for ACC. Rehmat gets off the mark with a back foot drive through cover, Saqib whips a straight one off his pads over midwicket for four.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  12:40
Dosti : 43-1 (12 overs)
Ahmed and Kohli are looking increasingly comfortable, each punishing anything loose and keeping the scoreboard moving, not least with some very good running. Graber makes way for Peter Borren at the Korfbal Court End, but the runs keep flowing.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  12:39
Excelsior 12-3 (7.1 overs)
And that’s the big one! Fletcher has Ingram caught behind for 5, Heggelman in to join Parchment, nightmare start for Excelsior.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  12:31
HBS : 89-3 (21 overs)
HBS lose another, Navjit Singh well caught. Barresi in with Gomes now.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  12:20
HBS : 85-2 (20 overs)
HBS and Quick are 20 overs in already, Navjit Singh and Sharn Gomes still together in the middle.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  12:16
Looking at a 12.45 start here, 46 overs apiece. ACC won the toss and will bat.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  12:15
Excelsior 3-2 (2 overs)
Wickets all over, Verhagen gone as Fletcher too finds the stumps in his first over.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  12:11
Dosti : 9-1 (5.2 overs)
A fairly steady start by the new Dosti opening pair, although Hans survives a couple of very confident appeals off Graber. But then he gets a definite edge off the same bowler, and Lees takes the catch. Taruwar Kohli in at three.

 HCC vs Voorburg  12:10
HCC : 14-2 (3 overs)
And another for Floyd, Street caught behind down leg. Gorlee in at four

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  12:05
Excelsior 0-1 (1 over)
And an early wicket at Hazleaarweg too, Ashiqullah Said starts with a wicket maiden, Joost Kroesen bowled fourth ball. Ingram in at three to join Verhagen.

 HCC vs Voorburg  12:04
HCC : 3-1 (1 over)
Floyd strikes early at de Diepput, Tonny Staal caught behind. Street joins Itagi

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  12:04
The umpires are satisfied, toss at 12.15.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  12:03
HBS : 64-2 (15 overs)
Navjit Singh and Sharn Gomes digging in for HBS now after the double early breakthrough.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  11:57
Dosti : 0-0 (1 over)
Quirijn Gunning opens from the Amstel Station End with a maiden to Rahil Ahmed, whose partner is Mahesh Hans, promoted to opener in the absence of the injured Shahdab Ghori. Ghori’s place in the side has been taken by young Arhem Khan. For VRA, Adeel Raja comes in in place of the unavailable Eric Szwarczynski. Brandon Graber starts from the Korfbal Court End.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  11:41
And things looking up at Hazelaarweg. They’ve had a toss, VOC won it, and Excelsior will be obliged to bat first.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  11:39
HBS : 34-2 (7 overs)
And Visee departs after a typically boisterous showing, caught for 25 at the third attempt.

 HCC vs Voorburg  11:37
And we have a toss at de Diepput, VCC win and will have a bowl.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  11:32
We’re gonna have a go at roping the circle dry. Another inspection at noon..

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  11:23
Dosti : And at Drieburg Emile van den Burg has called correctly and invited Dosti to have a bat. The start is planned for 11:45.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  11:15
HBS : 7-1 (2.3 overs)
Jay Bista makes an immediate impact on his Topklasse return, Elkin clean bowled.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  11:02
They’ve had a look and they’re not impressed, the outfield being the principal point of contention. Bit of a breeze now at least. Gonna try again in half an hour.

 VOC vs Excelsior ’20  10:46
Covers still on at Hazelaarweg for now.

HBS Craeyenhout vs Quick Haag  10:45
There’s been a toss at Crayenhout though. HBS are batting first, not clear if that was their choice or Quick’s.

 Dosti vs VRA Amsterdam  10:43
The news at Sportpark Drieburg is that the umpires will have a look at 11:00, and we should get a start before too long.

 HCC vs Voorburg  10:37
And a delayed start at de Diepput too, hoping to toss at 11.

 ACC vs Sparta 1888  10:32
Here at het Loopveld we are looking at a delayed start, outfield’s damp, the pitch isn’t that dry either. Having another look at 11am.

 ☁ Weather Update ☁  10:22
Grim and overcast in Amsterdam with precious little wind, drizzle about elsewhere, though it’s not terribly cold. Expect delayed starts.

 Rod Lyall  10:16
Good morning/afternoon/evening once again, everyone. I’m at Sportpark Drieburg today, where the teams are just now removing the covers from the pitch. There’s been quite a lot of rain overnight, and although it’s not raining at the moment it’s pretty bleak. There’s a Scots word which describes conditions like this: ‘dreich’. It wraps dank, grey, wet, and largely windless in one miserable bundle. It’s a fair bet we’ll have a delayed start, but the weather is supposed to improve from here, so there’s a good chance we’ll get a game in. In the meantime, you may like to look at our previews for today and Saturday.
