Bertus de Jong 18:48
VOC will take six points through to the relegation fight, and Salland have picked up four points today too, two themselves by beating Dosti and another two from the result at Thurlede, so they’ll be on six to start too. Kampong have finally got two permanent points on the board too with a win over Sparta, while ACC stay on four as do Sparta themselves. Dosti will start on no points, which you have to say is fair enough.
Bertus de Jong 18:34
So Excelsior through to the Championship group for phase two, VOC have some work to do in the bottom half. Bad news for VRA too, who go through to Phase two without any points to their name, though of course it could have been worse,a tie here would have sunk them. Such is the nature of the rather capricious system we’re dealing this this year, but hey, you can’t say it’s not been fun.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:29
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 214-4 (48 overs)
Seelaar back, INgram down the track, high and handsome wide of long on and a good way back. STroked out to long on a couple of balls later and VOC have seen enough, lazy return throw and they steal two. Comfortable win in the end, but it was tense for a good while. Ingram unbeaten on 86 off 80, how many clutch innings has he produced for Exclesior under pressure now? Give that man a raise.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:25
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 203-4 (47 overs)
Hoornweg back and second ball Hampton steps down to hammer him over long off for six. That’s the game you’d think. If not, that is, lovely touch from Ingram three balls later to cut late just wide of short third for four.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:21
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 190-4 (46 overs)
Ingram’s looking to get ahead of the game, musceled to leg and a hard run two on the third, then swept hard and a great stopm in the deep keeps then to one. Six off it though, which is all they need..
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:18
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 184-4 (45 overs)
Tip and run from Ingram and Hampton, until the last ball where Ingram gets down for a slog sweep but swipes at air. Back to a run a ball. Still Seelaar..
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 18:16
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 200 all out (44.4 overs)
A spirited little partnership between Tariq and Hussain, but in the end Tariq, who’s played a real tailender’s cameo, holes out to Kyle Klein at mid-off off Vink and goes for 22. Real courage from young Hussain, who stood up to everything Ryan Klein hurled at him. A comfortable win for HBS, who will be delighted to take those two points through with them. Three wickets apiece for De Mey and Vink, but it was Walbrugh and Barresi wot won it for them.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:14
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 180-4 (44 overs)
Nothing risky, just hard running gets them six off Seelaar. They don’t need more. Jain still at the other end but the game is slipping for VOC.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:12
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 174-4 (43 overs)
Just four off Hoornweg’s next, exactly a run a ball needed off the last eight. Jain back, tidy from him til the last ball, when he strays down leg band is whipped through backward square for four by Hampton. Seelaar brings himself back.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:02
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 162-4 (41 overs)
Oh and that six brought up Ingram’s fifty. Hampton on 10.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 18:02
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 162-4 (41 overs)
Ingram steps down and launches Fletcher for a straight six, then an inside edge across the stumps for four. Double demoralising whammy. 52 needed off 54. Hoornweg still from the other end.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:56
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 178-9 (40.2 overs)
The match drifts towards its conclusion, as Asad is smartly stumped by Scholte off De Mey. Mubashar Hussain the last man.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 17:49
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 143-4 (39 overs)
Last match of interest this, but very interesting. Ingram loses another partner as Fletcher bounces Heggelman out on the pull, held by what looks like Smit at deep third. Should have had two in two as a lofted drive from Ingram bursts through the hands of mid on. Hampton in, Ingram closing in on fifty. Hoornweg still from the other end.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:46
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 160-8 (35.3 overs)
Salarazai belts Vink back over his head for six, but when he tries it again next ball he gets under it, and De Mey’s underneath it when it comes back to earth. Gone for 13, Tariq in.
Voorburg vs VRA 17:45
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 159 all out (34.1 overs)
Word trickling in from Westvliet that VRA have been bowled out for 159, but not before a late blitz from Mitch Lees, who was last man out for a 25-ball 36. VRA look to have done enough to make the top three though (usual disclaimers apply), barring a tie at Thurlede of course…
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 17:39
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 130-3 (37 overs)
Hoornweg and Fletcher now for VOC, 84 needed off 13, the hosts have been on or around DLS par for most of this innings, game very much in the balance. Ingram on 38 now, Heggelman on 12.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:33
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 141-7 (33.2 overs)
And sho’ ‘nuff the wicket comes, though it’s through a run out. Jappie pushes to mid-on, comes for a very tight single, and his dive isn’t quick enough to beat Walbrugh’s direct hit. Salarazai in to join Asad.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:30
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 141-6 (33 overs)
Since both these teams are going into the Championship pool and NRR could be significant come August, every run is potentially crucial here. In that spirit Jappie and Asad are plugging away here against Kyle Klein and Barresi, while HBS are keen to finish it off. Ferdi Vink returns from the Sportlaan End.
Salland vs Dosti 17:19
Dosti : 103 all out (36.3 overs)
Salland : 106-3 (36.1 overs)
Lubbers and Naqash have taken Salland home some time ago, all went dark in Deventer for a while there.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 17:19
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 115-3 (33 overs)
Verhagen goes, pinned LBW by Smit I’m told. I’ll confess I was putting my laptop in the fridge at the time. Heggelman in with Ingram now. A hundred and one runs to get and 17 overs to get them in. Could be close. Could be . . . a tie?
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:15
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 128-6 (28.5 overs)
Another one goes: Vink angles one in to Sikander, who goes back and is beaten. Middle stump knocked back, and he goes for 29. Asad Zulfiqar in, but it looks like a lost cause from here.
Voorburg vs VRA 17:08
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 118-7 (27.4 overs)
A wide from Boissevain sees VRA safe. A long way from winning though of course.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 17:08
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 124-5 (27.5 overs)
Barresi back to get the breakthrough, as Saqib tries to hit him over long on and finds the man, Ryan Klein, instead. He goes for 27, and Rushdie Jappie joins Sikander, who’s on 28*.
Voorburg vs VRA 17:05
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 112-7 (27.? overs)
Potgieter has Borren LBW for 28, but VRA are almost safe. NOt quite yet though, and Boissevain takes Nashier’s poles in the next.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 16:48
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 76-2 (25 overs)
Back after drinks and an undeserved breakthrough, at least for the bowler. Full toss outside off from Smit and Kroesen pulls wide of mid on, where Seelaar bags a fantastic catch flinging himself full length to his right and holds on right handed. Frankly the wicket should go to Seelaar there. Ingram in.
Voorburg vs VRA 16:35
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 87-5 (20 overs)
Balbirnie caught at point for 13, but Borren announced his arrival at the crease cutting hard in front of point for four. Nashier puts Shariz away over midwicket for six, then mows another after it for a one-bouncer. Next Shariz over gets a full toss and cashes in again, through long off to the rope. 32 more to be safe, 145 more for the win.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 16:37
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 90-4 (20 overs)
The Zulfiqars haven’t given up the fight, Saqib going after De Mey to the tune of a four and a six, the latter lofted back over long on. Ryan Klein returns in place of Barresi, but De Mey continues from the Scoreboard End.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 16:32
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 62-1 (20 overs)
Verhagen and Kroesen letting the game drift a bit, Seelaar’s been very parsimonious and at 61-1 at drinks the hosts are leaving themselves a fair bit to do. Lots of batting to come though, feels like the innings has barely started.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 16:24
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 74-4 (16.4 overs)
It’s all coming apart for Punjab, as Vandiar tries to hit De Mey over cover, holes out to Barresi, and departs for 37. And with that they take a drink, after which Sikander Zulfiqar joins Saqib at the crease.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 16:15
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 124-2 (24.4 overs)
A boundary for Gorlee does it.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 16:14
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 67-3 (14.1 overs)
Spin from both ends, and it’s Julian de Mey who removes Nidamanuru, caught at midwicket by Kyle Klein for 5. Nidamanuru’s justly furious with himself. Saqib Zulfiqar in to join Vandiar, who’s gone on to 36*.
Voorburg vs VRA 16:10
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 52-4 (14 overs)
Fifty up for VRA as Nashier and Balbirnie rebuild.Shariz Ahmed into the attack.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 16:08
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 120-2 (24.3 overs)
Zinesh Master has the wicket of Worden, caught by Ackermann for 41, but with Staal on 38* and Gorlee on 10*, HCC are on the brink of victory.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 16:08
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 44-1 (12 overs)
News of events at Westvliet beginning to percolate here, meanwhile Kroesen dispatches Niaz over square leg for one bouncer, next over Fletcher is driven through cover for four more by Verhagen.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 15:52
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 49-2 (9.1 overs)
Barresi into the attack, and with his very first delivery, bowled round the wicket, he get the ball past a slog-sweeping Myburgh and into off stump. Teja Nidamanuru joins Vandiar, who’s on a run-a-ball 25*.
Voorburg vs VRA 15:51
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 29-4 (9 overs)
Double strike at Westvliet, Smal caught at slip off Potgieter and Dutt likewise off Nieuwoudt in the next over. VRA putting themselves in real danger. Nashier in with Balbirnie.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 15:47
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 41-1 (8 overs)
No spectacularity from Myburgh today – the task of chasing a big total seems to have inspired him to dig in for the long haul, and he and Vandiar are batting relatively cautiously against the Klein brothers.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 15:45
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 80-1 (18 overs)
Worden and Staal take HCC past the halfway mark. Worden’s now on 40*, Staal on 11*. Raza’s tried six bowlers, but without further success so far.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 15:40
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 104-4 (21.4 overs)
And there it is! Kampong take their first points against one of their weaker rivals, Van Biljon ending on on 47* as Jacod hits the winning runs.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 15:33
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 11-0 (4 overs)
First scoring shot in a while as Verhagen lofts Niaz over mid-on for a hard-run three as Fletcher gives chase in the company of Edwards, who has handed off the gloves to Fourie today. Etman drives the next straight for four..
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 15:26
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
Excelsior : 4-0 (2 overs)
Back on here too, Jain takes the new ball, Etman and Verhagen opening for the hosts. Etman off the mark second ball backing away and cutting hard through point for four. Niaz from the oher end, and opens with a maiden.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 15:23
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 80-4 (17.2 overs)
Malik is caught behind by Ali Raza for 5 from 19 deliveries. Jacod joins Biljon with Kampong still needing 23.
Voorburg vs VRA 15:21
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 10-2 (4 overs)
Another gone! Potgieter again, Singh flashing outside off and feathered through, Dutt in. Nightmare start for VRA
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 15:21
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 45-1 (11 overs)
Rob Ackermann into the attack, and he gets Kuipéri caught behind by Smith for 21. Worden’s on 20*, joined now by Tonny Staal.
Salland vs Dosti 15:19
Dosti : 103 all out (36.3 overs)
Salland : 40-3 (20 overs)
Lubbers taking control of the chase now, takes Ahmad for consecutive fours in the 20th. Pressure rapidly evaporating.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 15:16
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 5-1 (2 overs)
Ryan Klein traps Rehmat in front with his third delivery, bringing Jonathan Vandiar in to join Myburgh. He gets off the mark with a boundary to finish the over.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 15:15
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 74-3 (16 overs)
Van Biljon continues to take the Sparta bowling by the scruff of the neck; he’s on 34* from 17 now, with Usman Malik content to play a supporting role. Ahsan Malik still has two overs to bowl, with Usman Saleem having replaced Snoep.
Voorburg vs VRA 15:12
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
VRA : 6-1 (2 overs)
Back on at Westvliet and an early wicket for the hosts, as Luke Scully drives Potgieter straight to Malan at mid off. Smal in to join Singh, who’s yet to score.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 15:12
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Punjab : 0-0 (1 over)
Punjab start their chase at Craeyenhout, Kyle Klein bowling a maiden from the Scoreboard End to Rehmat Zulfiqar, who opens with Steph Myburgh. Klein senior from the Sportlaan End.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 15:03
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 32-0 (7 overs)
Kuipéri and Worden are proceeding steadily, and Raza’s on in place of Kumar.
Salland vs Dosti 14:59
Dosti : 103 all out (36.3 overs)
Salland : 17-3 (14 overs)
Dot after dot after dot piling on, more overs than runs and the pressure tells, Weber run out for a 22-ball 1 by Tewarie. Machiavello goes two overs later popping a return catch to Hoseinbaks having taken 40 balls to get to 4. Victor Lubbers to the crease to join Naqash with his side under improbable pressure.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 14:58
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 50-3 (12.2 overs)
A third for Malik, as Alphonse is caught by Faisal Iqbal for 8. Usman Malik joins Van Biljon, with Kampong almost at the halfway mark.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 14:54
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 49-2 (12 overs)
Van Biljon, however, appears to recognise that NRR could be significant on the run in. He’s smacked Snoep for two sixes and a four in one over, and has raced to 21* off 11 deliveries.
Bertus de Jong 14:43
If my maths is right VRA’s subsidiary target to be sure of making the top three will be 118. Any less and VOC could still sneak through with a narrow loss. Excelsior can’t get through on net run rate unless VRA are bowled out for less than 57. Realistically, both teams here at Thurlede need the win. VRA would presumably also quite like one of course.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 14:38
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
HCC : 5-0 (1 over)
Back on at De Diepput, and it’s Bart Kuipéri, reinKuipérated into the first team after a six-year absence (I don’t know why HCC are feeding me all these bad puns this week), who opens with Zac Worden. He gets under way with a boundary off Van Vliet.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 14:38
VOC : 213-8 (50 overs)
String of singles off the last but Seelaar finishes with a flourish, short and wide from Heggelman and pulled hard and straight over long on for six. 213 the total, eminently chaseable but the the momentum is with VOC.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 14:32
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 26-2 (8.2 overs)
Malik gets a second, and it’s the adhesive Briggs who’s caught, again by Saleem, for 14. Pite van Biljon in to join Alphonse.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 14:32
VOC : 200-8 (48.4 overs)
Seelaar slams Heggelman high and staright back over his head and almost clear the fencing. Next over goes inside out over extra for six more off Hampton, then a more classical lofted drive for four through the same area. Hampton then goes short and a flat pull through square endangers the crowd, six into the water I reckon. 200 up and a ball hunt. They’ve have a bit of luck this pair, Fletcher’s had a top edge off Heggelman shelled and Seelaar one drop safe, but they’re certainly doing a job.
Voorburg vs VRA 14:25
VCC : 231-7 (50 overs)
Boissevain and Shariz lift the hosts to 231 by the close. A solid score for VCC but VRA will be pretty happy with their work at the back end of the innings. If they can get past half-way there they’ll be sure of a top three spot, but they’ll be aiming higher than that you’d think.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 14:24
HBS : 285-3 (50 overs)
Navjit is bowled by Salarazai for 21, and Kyle Klein joins Barresi. Who goes on to 113 before, three balls from the end, he tries to hit Sikander over extra and is caught by Rushdie Jappie. Ferdi Vink comes in to take six off the last two deliveries, and HBS will be the by far the happier going into the break.
Salland vs Dosti 14:24
Dosti : 103 all out (36.3 overs)
Salland : 2-1 (4 overs)
Dosti will need a bunch of early wickets to have a hope here, and Hoseinbaks delivers the first, Piyaranga bowled for 1 in the fourth over. He and Diwan have both proved hard to hit early, just two runs on the board. Webber joins Machiavello.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 14:20
VOC : 169-8 (46 overs)
Short and wide from Hampton, Upadhyaya looks for the uppercut over backward point but too high and too square and an easy catch. Fletcher in. Heggelman still from the other end and tidy from him, just three off the 46th.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 14:17
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 19-1 (5 overs)
Alphonse and Briggs making steady progress against Malik and Bukhari after the loss of that early wicket. They have, after all, no need to take any risks.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 14:14
HBS : 266-3 (48 overs)
Barresi glances Salarazai fine to reach his century. That’s his 11th in the top flight, four of them for VRA, four for Quick Haag and three for HBS. He celebrates appropriately. Navjit joins the party, smacking Sikander over cow for six.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 14:12
VOC : 163-7 (44 overs)
Niaz goes trying to force the pace, big swing across the line at Heggelman and trapped in front. He goes for a creditable 38, Seelaar to the middle.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 14:06
HBS : 241-3 (46 overs)
Barresi heaves Sikander over the midwicket boundary to move into the nineties. Salarazai to continue from the Sportlaan End.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 14:05
VOC : 155-6 (42 overs)
De Kok dies by the sword so to speak, down the track to Heggleman, straight and high but not far enough, held by Hampton on the rope at long on. Upadhyaya in, Niaz still there on 32*. Ingram to bowl his last.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 14:03
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Kampong : 2-1 (1 over)
They’re back at the Bermweg, and Ahsan Malik gets an immediate breakthrough, Chaturvedi caught by Usman Saleem off his third delivery. Cole Briggs in to join Ratha Alphonse in the middle.
Voorburg vs VRA 14:02
VCC : 202-6 (46 overs)
And Balbirnie with the wicket VRA wanted, de Leede LBW for 78. Nieuwoudt int to join de Grooth, 200 up with four overs to go.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 13:57
HBS : 220-3 (43 overs)
Just one over from Nidamanuru, and then Salarazai returns to trap Klein in front for 13. Navjit Singh joins Barresi, now on 79*.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 13:55
VOC : 145-5 (40 overs)
After a circumspect start, de Kok puts his foot down in the 40th, taking Hampton for foour, four and then a massive six over midwicket.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 13:45
ACC : 123 all out (42.3 overs)
Floyd and Pringle finish it off, Floyd ending Kumar’s stubborn innings when he’s caught by Gorlee for 14, and Pringle then bowling Zinesh Master, who’s in the side for the first time this season for 1. He finishes with four for 23, and the Young Master is going to have to bowl his socks off if ACC are to get anything out of this.
Voorburg vs VRA 13:50
VCC : 192-3 (44 overs)
Hingorani goes, stumped off Dutt, de Grooth in.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 13:45
ACC : 120-8 (41 overs)
Another at De Diepput: Van Vliet LBW to Pringle for 1, and Joseph Reddy’s in to join Kumar. Three for 23 for Pringle at this point.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 13:42
HBS : 191-2 (41 overs)
Having got his wicket Salarazai makes way for Teja Nidamanuru, who is dispatched by Barresi through the covers to bring up the 200. He’s on 73* by over’s end, Klein on 5*.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 13:32
HBS : 191-2 (38.5 overs)
The idea is evidently Salarazai, who returns from the Sportlaan End and who finally gets the breakthrough, catching Walbrugh’s pad as he tries to turn him to leg. He departs for 94, made from 109 deliveries, and the stand ends at 122. Ryan Klein joins Barresi, who’s on 67*.
Salland vs Dosti 13:31
Dosti : 103 all out (36.3 overs)
Dosti won’t get far past the hundred mark though, Hashim Khan closes the innings bowling Bhutta, 104 will be the target.
Voorburg vs VRA 13:28
VCC : 154-3 (38 overs)
Vikram Singh into the attack for VRA, but de Leede looks well set now. 150 comes up in the 38th. De Leede on 59 off 84 now, Hingorani 18 off 34.
HCC vs ACC Amsterdam 13:27
ACC : 112-7 (36.2 overs)
ACC haven’t been completely becalmed, but they’ve definitely been in the doldrums, battling their way to 112. But then Pringle comes back and bowls Ackermann for 5, and Mees van Vliet comes in to join Kumar, who’s on 7* from 32 deliveries.
Salland vs Dosti 13:27
Dosti : 102-9 (36 overs)
Masood and Bhutta putting on a face-saving last wicket partnership, they’ve put on thirty now and the hundred up for Dosti in the 36th.
Sparta 1888 vs Kampong 13:19
Sparta : 102 all out (34 overs)
Sharma gets his third wicket, Saleen caught by Nana for 1. He finishes with three for 14, Roy three for 24. That was a pretty clinical effort from Kampong, and they now have to make 103 to claim their first carry-throughable points.
Excelsior ‘20 vs VOC 13:15
VOC : 101-5 (32 overs)
Hundred up for VOC here in the meantime, but a lot of rebuilding still to do. Still Ingram and van Troost for the hosts.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 13:15
HBS : 175-1 (35 overs)
The century partnership comes up, with Walbrugh now on 89* and Barresi, batting as if he has a point to make, on 56*. Still Saqib and Mubashar, and Punjab seem to be running out of ideas.

HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 11:19
HBS : 34-0 (5 overs)
Brisk start from Walbrugh and Kaplan against Tariq and Safiullah Salarazai; they’s moved on to 18* and 15* already. Punjab’s usually parsimonious new-ball bowlers need to put the brakes on here.

Bertus de Jong 10:59
Assuming a close game here at Thurlede NRR spread between VOC and VRA is equivalent to about 115 runs or 36 overs, give or take. Excelsior another 70-odd runs behind VOC. So VRA need only avoid losing by more than 115 runs to be sure of a spot in the top three. If they lose by more than that, they risk VOC going through on a narrow loss together with Excelsior. That wouldn’t be ideal for Voorburg either of course, but they won’t be thinking about that until lunch at the earliest.
Salland vs Dosti 10:59
And word arrives from Deventer that Salland have won the toss and put Dosti in to bat.
HBS vs Punjab Rotterdam 10:59

Rod Lyall 10:25
We will, of course, bring you news of the tosses as it comes in. The weather is on our side today, so we can hope that all six games get under way on time.
Rod Lyall 10:15
Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone, and once again welcome. So here we are: it’s all gone very quickly, and it’s already the final round of Phase 1 matches, with a good deal at stake around the country before our minds turn to (a) the Super League series against England and (b) the T20 Cup. I shall once again be bringing you all the news of the three Group A matches, where HBS and Punjab will be hunting two points to take into the Championship pool, while Sparta and Kampong do likewise for the Relegation pool. The greatest excitement, though, is likely to be in Group B, and Bertus de Jong is in Schiedam for the likely sudden death game between Excelsior and VOC, while keeping an eye on the action in Voorburg and Deventer. Whatever happens, you’ll be able to keep up with it here!
