Meanwhile Exclesior will host HBS is the eliminator, both teams here at the Bos done for the season but all in reasonably good spirits regardless. That sort of thing just encourages the bowlers, but then he drives square again for another boundary before planting him over cover for yet another. He’s on 27* now, Heggelman on 8*.

In the bottom half of the table all eyes will be on Bermweg of course, where Sparta and Dosti’s clash is a de-facto eliminator with only the winner getting a shot at staying up through the relegation playoff. VOC and Kampong will be contending the Kaiser’s proverbial beard, while Salland and ACC’s match is likewise “de lana caprina”. Up top VCC and VRA have nothing to worry about in their matches against HBS and Punjab respectively, with VCC already top and VRA out of contention. The outcome of those matches will be of great interest to HCC and Excelsior however, who are contending with HBS and Punjab for the remaining three playoff slots.

Good morning (/afternoon/evening) once again, and welcome to TKcricket’s live coverage of the final round of pool matches in the 2022 Topklasse. These games are crucial for at least seven of the sides, with the really big games the battle for second place between HCC and Excelsior at Thurlede and the struggle to avoid automatic relegation between Dosti and Sparta at the Bermweg. But Punjab’s visit to the Amsterdamse Bos is pretty significant too, and HBS could slip out of the four if they lose at Voorburg and results elsewhere don’t go their way. So as denouements go it’s something of a cliff-hanger (cue Twilight Zone theme music), and we’ll be here to bring you all the action as it happens.
