That’s been as impactful day as we suspected it might be: big wins for VOC and ACC have catapulted the latter into the top six with one game to play and allowed VOC to move past Sparta into second. HCC consolidated their position with a win over Sparta which owed a great deal to Boris Gorlee’s unbeaten 134, while Mohsin Riaz’s century was equally decisive for Punjab. VRA’s defeat by Voorburg sees them slip out of the six, but with their superior NRR they’d redeem that if they beat HCC on Monday. Excelsior, HBS and Salland are now doomed to be fighting relegation come August, and either VRA orACC will be joining them. So do please join us on Monday for the final act of this strange, eventful history! For now, though, it’s good night from the TKcricket team.
VRA
191 all out (48.3 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
The game’s been drifing toward the inevitable for a while really, but Visser and Abid have done the proverbial needful. A more than useful 25 run partnership for the last wicket ends as Visser holes out to long on off Musa Nadeem Ahmad with nine balls unused. VCC win by 94 runs.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
279-5 (49.5 overs)
We had some communications issues from the Bermweg while Punjab and Excelsior were fighting that out, but we can now tell you that HCC have pulled off a victory almost as notable as Sparta’s own against VRA nine days ago. Ahsan Malik removed Floyd, but when Overdijk joined Gorlee they went onto all-out attack, Overdijk hitting Ahmadi for six and his captain doing the same to Malik, and ten were needed off the last. Gorlee took three to get Overdijk on strike, and he went 4-2-4 to finish it. Gorlee ends on 134*, Overdijk on 24* off 9 deliveries. HCC win by 5 wickets.
VRA
166-9 (41 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Turmaine gone, just done for pace you’d say on Klein’s return. Run a ball 37 from him though, and that will probably be enough to keep their heads above water if they can find a win against HCC next week. Visser in and just a question of scabbling as many runs together as they can now. 12s to win in theory.
Punjab
245-7 (48.4 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Bhatti takes a single of Heggelman’s last ball, though it’s hard to see why with Riaz on 99*. But he does get another off Hart’s first, and Riaz does it in style by smacking him over long off for six. Six more off the next to level the scores, and then four to finish it. Riaz ends on 115*, and Punjab win by three wickets.
Punjab
227-7 (47.1 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Four off Hart’s first ball takes the young man to 98*, and a single gets him to the other end. But then Mahmood pushes a single to retain the strike, and manages to get himself run out trying for a second when one would have given Riaz the strike back. Not terribly intelligent cricket. Sohail Bhatti in at nine, with 15 required off 17 deliveries.
Punjab
220-6 (46 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Riaz goes to 94* with two fours off Heggelman. 22 needed now from four. Hart back from the Equestrian Centre End.
VRA
151-8 (38 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Dutt goes for 46, van Vliet top of off. Visser joins Turmaine, who’s on a run a ball 27 and fighting for every run. Tehy won’t get enoughto win but every little will likely help if they can geta win on Monday.
Punjab
206-6 (44 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Ingram has Shafiq caught by Baker without scoring. Aaliyan Mahmood in, Riaz on 82*. 36 needed from six. Still advantage Punjab.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
228-4 (45.2 overs)
Gorlee goes after Malik, hitting him for two fours and a brace of twos in one over. Kloppenburg takes a boundary off Ahmadi, but when they try for an ambitious two he’s beaten by a throw from the bowler as he gathers the return. Clayton Floyd in with HCC still needing 48.
VRA
144-7 (36 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Shariz and Klein still for Voorburg, Dutt and Turmaine waiting on bad balls. Turmaine has had more of them in the last few overs, he’s on to 20 off 19, Dutt closing in on fifty, Ten an over is the asking rate in theory, but unlikely anyone’s thinking about that just yet. And a bowling change now, Levitt on from the City End.
Punjab
200-5 (41.5 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Tom Heggelman returns to trap Sikander in front for 33, and Excelsior are fighting all the way. Riaz now on 80*, and joined by Mohammed Shafiq.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
223-3 (45 overs)
Gorlee makes his maiden Topklasse hundred! Before today he’d made 55 runs this season, and this has been a remarkable return to form. There have been hints that it was coming, in the Pro Series and the A-team series against Italy, but this is a fine achievement. It may not be enough, however, to earn HCC the points, with 53 still needed from five overs.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
200-3 (42.5 overs)
Things just got much harder for HCC, however, as Vandiar tries to put Malik over long on and is caught by Sam Ferguson. He goes for 28, with Gorlee now on 99*. Teun Kloppenburg joins him.
Punjab
183-4 (40 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Michael Hart’s first seven overs went for just 14 runs, and he’s back now from the Harbour End as Excelsior battle to contain a Punjab side with wickets in hand and around six an over required. Just three singles off it, so that’s a pretty good result. Riaz, though, is on 77* and with Sikander there as well, Punjab definitely have the upper hand.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
182-2 (40 overs)
Drinks in Capelle too, with Gorlee now on 91* and Vandiar on 22*. 96 off 10 overs is a big ask, but with Vandiar there anything’s possible. Clark still has seven overs, Ahmadi three. Malik’s back in the attack, with five overs up his sleeve. The odds favour Sparta, but you never know!
VRA
112-7(29.4 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Drinks here at the Bos with Dutt on 35 and Peiris on 1, not a lot of batting to come but 22 overs to bat and a positive net run rate to defend. Boissevain and Ahmad have put on the squeeze, and bang after drinks Shariz strikes, Peiris back and edging to second slip. Turmaine in. VRA need to look to damage limitation here, VCC don’t really have to worry about much of anything.
Punjab
160-4 (35 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Riaz on 62* now, Sikander Zulfiqar on 13* Still Ingram from the Harbour End, with Punjab needing 82 from 15 overs.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
127 all out (31.3 overs)
Hoornweg finishes it off, getting Khan LBW and leaving De Mey not out on 24. VOC win by 145 runs.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
165-2 (37 overs)
At the Bermweg, meanwhile, Alphonse has gone to 53 before being caught behind by Raza off Ahmadi. That stand was worth 135, but Gorlee’s continuing the good work now with Vandiar. He’s moved on to 84*, Vandiar on 13*. Snoep switches to the Schollebos End.
VRA
99-6 (25 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Van Luin gone, a weird dismissal to be frank, jumps across to Boissevain trying to whip him behind square and is bowled behind his legs. Peiris in. Dutt still there on an incongruously aggressive 27 off 18. One wonders how much thought VRA have put into their net run rate situation.
Punjab
138-4 (29.2 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Another for Ingram, and it’s the big wicket of Minhas, who tries to cut a delivery that’s too close to him and chops it into his stumps. He goes for 19. Riaz, meanwhile, has gone on to 53*, joined now by Sikander Zulfiqar.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
119-9 (28 overs)
The End Is Nigh at Hazelaarweg as well, with two wickets in a Max Hoornweg over: Klein’s caught behind by Edwards, back behind the stumps today, and two balls later Scholte falls the same way. Khan’s the last man, with De Mey on 20*.
ACC
226-9 (50 overs)
Salland
102 all out (28.5 overs)
Spirited resistance from the last pair, Van der Molen hitting Reddy back over his head for six and Nasir despatching Arya over extra cover for the same result. But it can’t last, and before the over’s out he skies him to Hobson on the midwicket boundary, and it’s all over. ACC win by 124 runs.
VRA
95-5 (21 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Van Luin gets a life as Croes loses a steepling top edge in the sun, and Dutt gets stuck into Boissevain next over, four consecutive boundaries in the 22nd; six, four, six, four all over the park. Shariz on at the other end and van Luin whips a long hop down leg fine for four more. An odd time for a counterattack but the balls were there to be hit.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
112-7 (26 overs)
A rally by Klein and De Mey gets the total into three figures, and De Kok is impelled to bring Jain back into the attack. But this might be more of an NRR battle than anything else.
ACC
226-9 (50 overs)
Salland
79-9 (26.1 overs)
And that’s eight as Reddy, back from the Uilenstede End, traps Sherzad in front. Gul Ahmad Nasir comes in, but from the first ball of Arya’s next Gopinath scoops the simplest of catches to Potdar at backward square.
Punjab
94-3 (21.1 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Ingram into the attack, and Saqib slashes his first delivery to Tim Etman at slip. It knocks him over, but he holds onto the catch. Shoaib Minhas joins Riaz in the middle.
ACC
226-9 (50 overs)
Salland
79-7 (25 overs)
Jarri Ullah comes in, lasts three balls and departs, the Hans-Kuhn combination again responsible. And a third catch behind the stumps for Ahmed, Raxworthy the victim this time. Gopinath and Sherzad together at the crease, but it’s looking pretty desperate for Salland.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
98-1 (24 overs)
Fifty for Gorlee, and he’s chosen a pretty good time to do it, as HCC face the stiffest chase of the day. Alphonse is on 38* at the other end, and the stand is now worth 84. Sparta looking a bit threadbare, and it’s probably significant that Bukhari hasn’t bowled.
VRA
55-5 (16.1 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
And after some discussion van Beek gets another from the City End, and proves a good call as first ball of the 16th he takes Singhs outside edge and caught first slip. Singh goes for 29 leaving his side in shambles. VRA could be in for a serious net run rate hit here as Aryan Dutt makes his way to the middle. Drinks now as VRA assess their desperate situation.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
73-7 (20 overs)
At Hazelaarweg the collapse continues. Schoonheim has Del Bianco caught by Hoseinbaks, who then strikes the vital blow by trapping Walbrugh in front for 25. Three balls later he repeats the trick, the victim this time Adendorff. De Mey joins Kyle Klein, but surely it’s just a matter of time now.
Punjab
89-2 (19.4 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Usman helps himself to another six, this time off Rens van Troost, to move to 45. A single brings him down to face Baker, and this time he miscues, Gijs Kroesen snaffling the catch at midwicket. Much needed, that, but as Saqib Zulfiqar joins Riaz Excelsior need to keep taking wickets.
ACC
226-9 (50 overs)
Salland
69-5 (19.3 overs)
Salland among the chasers in trouble: Ottachchige hits a return catch to Konlechner, Arya has Webber caught behind, and Victor Lubbers is also caught by Rahil Ahmed, this time off Kumar. And as I write that, Bartholomew falls to a fine catch by Kuhn, diving forward at midwicket. That’s the cue for a drink, with ACC very clearly on top.
VRA
47-4 (12 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Lovely checked straight drive from van Luin to get off the mark, four to him, 24 for for Singh so far but lots to do., And he said he might, Logan van Beek into the attack.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
73-1 (18 overs)
Sparta still looking for their second wicket as well, with Balwantsingh on now from the Schollebos End. Gorlee’s gone on to 36*, his best Topklasse score of the season, with Alphonse on 29*. Joost Kroesen into the attack from the Pavilion End.
Punjab
72-1 (17 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Drinks at Thurlede, with Usman now on 37* and Riaz on 27*. Niels Etman and Umar Baker operating now for Excelsior.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
51-4 (13 overs)
HBS in deep trouble as well: Pote falls to Jain, caught by De Kok, and Barresi lasts just five balls before he’s caught by Berry off Fletcher for one. Walbrugh’s still there, joined now by Del Bianco, but it’s a long, long way back from here.
VRA
38-4 (9 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Four for Klein! Ndamanuru LBW, van Luin in, VRA in freefall.
VRA
33-3 (8.1 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Three down! full and straight from Klein and Balbirnie defends, just a little too hard the ahnds and Klein grabs a superb return catch off his ankles. Nidamanuru in.
VRA
29-2 (7 overs)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
Good stuff from Musa, keeping the Mulder’s End locked down. Just one off his first then a maiden to Smal. Both bats looking circumspect as the new skipper deploys a series of ostentatious leaves at Klein, but then sees one he likes and drives it somehow directly through the man at cover for four. Next ball frees the arms and lifts it over a leaping mid off for four more. A smattering of singles off Musa’s next, then Klein gets the second, Smal clean bowled for five and Balbirnie in at four. Van Vliet on from Mulder’s End.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
32-1 (10 overs)
Joost-Martijn Snoep has replaced Malik at the Pavilion End, but Alphonse and Gorlee are likewise trying to build a platform, not taking any unnecessary risks and content to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Punjab
33-1 (10 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
Promoted to open, Yasir Usman has set about restoring Punjab’s fortunes after that early setback, and when Heggelman bowls one in the slot he lofts it back over the bowler’s head for six. Excelsior don’t really have a lot to play with here, on a day made for the batters.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
10-2 (4.5 overs)
Drummond goes back in his crease, Jain sneaks one through, and umpire Van Liemt has little hesitation in raising his finger. Tayo Walbrugh joins Pote, who’s made it to 9* while witnessing this poor start at the other end.
VRA
9-1 (1 over)
Voorburg
285-6 (50 overs)
And we’re back here at the Bos, Klein with the new ball, Singh and Rasool for VRA. And an immediate breaktrhough as Rasool looks to pull one round the corner and gets a top edge which falls to deep third where Tom de Grooth is on as sub for Vivian Kingma and takes the catch. Smal at three, and Musa Nadeem of all people from Mulder’s End.
ACC
226-9 (50 overs)
Salland
11-1 (4.4 overs)
The exception is ‘t Loopveld, where Iain Webber and Hashim Khan have started cautiously but steadily against Joseph Reddy and Anis Raza. Until, that is, Reddy gets one through Khan as he goes back defending, and rattles the stumps. Piyaranga Ottachchige in at three.
Sparta
275-8 (50 overs)
HCC
15-1 (4 overs)
And a quick wicket at the Bermweg, where Malik bowls Tonny Staal before he has scored. Boris Gorlee in to join the reliable Ratha Alphonse.
Punjab
9-1 (3 overs)
Excelsior
241-9 (50 overs)
They’re back on at the Zomercomplex too, and the hosts are one down already, Asad Zulfiqqar chasing a wide one from Hart and that’s cut up and down deep third’s throat.Riaz joins Usman.
VOC
272 ao (47.4 overs)
HBS
0-1 (0.4 overs)
The worst possible start for HBS: Arnav Jain starts from the Pavilion End to Reece Mason, who cuts the fourth ball straight into the hands of Seelaar at slip. Tim Drummond to the crease.
Bertus de Jong 14:54
About 20 too many seems to be the consensus here at the Bos, wicket’s playing true enough but slow and likely getting slower. Probably worth noting at this point that the 26 extras is the difference between this score and what most deem gettable. Elsewhere proceedings seem to have a curious symmetry, with early wickets falling before a recovery followed by more wickets at the back end, with everyone ending up north of par at their respective venues, with the arguable exception of Excelsior, though 240-odd’s not a bad score at all even at the Zomercomplex. Lots of chasing to do after lunch then, so do join us again in, yikes, like no time basically.
Rod Lyall 14:36
It’s evident that few teams understand the Duckworth-Lewis concept of ‘resource’ better than VOC. They don’t mind too much being all out just before the end of their 50 overs provided they can set their opponents a really challenging total. It worked for them (just!) against VRA last week, and it may work again today. That will to a great degree depend on whether they can remove Walbrugh and Barresi for modest scores; if those two were to get going, even 273 might not be beyond the Crows.

Voorburg finish with a flourish as van Beek dumps Dutt inside out over extra for six on the final ball if the innings. He finshes on 41 off 27, and VRA face a daunting chase after lunch

Bukhari the man hitting out while everyone else is getting out at Bermweg, he’s lifted Sparta to an imposing 275, finishing on 38* off 29 while Doram and Overdijk kept fresh faces coming at the other end, finishing with figures of 4-47 and 3-45 respectively. .

Hoornweg is run out, gallantly trying to get back for a second to keep Edwards on strike and beaten by the return from long on. That brings last man Pierce Fletcher to the crease, but it’s Edwards who does the damage, smashing Adendorff for six over square leg off a no ball, although he misses the free hit delivery completely. Then he tries to sweep once too often, the ball’s too full, and his off stump’s uprooted. He goes for 84, made from 72 deliveries, and HBS need 273 to win.

Niels Etman falls to Bhatti soon after more conventionally caught behind as Excelsior stumble toward the death. Stan van Troost id joined by Rens.

Bertus de Jong 13:58
Word from Hermes is Elenbaas being repreived after initially being given LBW to Shoaib Butt was indeed what prompted the abandonement. Elenbaas apparently had protested that he’d got a thick inside edge on a full ball from Butt first up, and it seems the square leg umpire must have agreed as after brief discussions with his colleague the bowler’s end umpire reversed his decision. Groen en Wit, we’re told, have walked off in protest.

Edwards reverse-sweeps De Mey to go past 50 for the 21st time in his Topklasse career, with Seelaar looking to give positive support until he lunges forward at De Mey and hits another return catch, this time head-high and to the bowler’s left. Easy-peasy for De Mey, and Seelaar departs for 9. Jelte Schoonheim in, with VOC in danger of not capitalising fully on their great start..
Bertus de Jong 13:52
Some Hoofdklasse drama for you all in the meantime. Hermes DVS’ match against Groen Wit has been abandoned we hear, following some sort of disagreement. Apparently the point of contention was an LBW decision given against Oli Elenbaas, who had just arrived at the creas, and then seemingly reversed. Hope to have some details on that shortly.

Immediately after the second drinks break De Kok brings up the 200, but Del Bianco’s looking pretty lively, giving the VOC captain a very effective bouncer to think about. These are crucial overs if HBS are going to have a chaseable total to pursue. It helps their cause that De Kok, relatively new at the crease, is getting a lot of the strike, while Edwards remains on 48* from 45. Pote having returned and completed his ten, De Mey is on at the Pavilion End, and with his first delivery he gets through De Kok’s indecisive shot and traps him in front and on the crease. Klein’s return lasts just one over, and then there’s a double bowling change, with Lucas del Bianco on from the Airport End and Azzam Khan from the other. Edwards appears to enjoy Khan’s off-spin, sweeping him to the boundary and, a little less characteristically, hoisting him wide of mid-on for another four. A little moral victory for Del Bianco as he get Edwards fishing outside off, but moral victories count for little out there. Still, only two off the over, and that’s a rather bigger achievement at this stage. VOC should be on course for a very big total here, with Berry now on 78* and Edwards continuing to attack Khan. He gets away with a possible stumping, though, advancing down the wicket, missing, and Scholte unable to gather the ball. Three fours and a scooped two take him to 29*

Still pretty sloppy from the hosts, Singh now spearing a wide down leg and overstepping next ball. 17 extras the total now. Nidamanuru finds a wicket at the other end though, Musa playing across the line and struck on the front pad. Finger goes up. Shariz joins Levitt, who’s on 62*.

This is a pretty tidy spell from De Mey, but Berry cuts him behind point for another four. HBS are fielding like demons for the most part, but so effective are Berry & Co. at fiending the gaps that 94 of VOC’s runs have come from boundaries. Klein back from the Pavilion End.*

Fifty for Levitt, but Singh finally finds the breakthrough for the hosts, pegging back Croes’ off stump and gone for 40. Musa Nadeem in at four and Singh beats his outside edge first ball. Heads picking up in the field? Nidamanuru from Mulder’s end now.

A single for Berry takes him past fifty for the fourth time this season. Then back-to-back fours off Adendorff, the first a rather fortunate edge fine to third man, the second clipped away in front of square. But Adendorff gets his revenge, albeit against the offender’s sidekick, bowling Jain for 46 as he plays a rather nondescript push towards midwicket. Little relief for HBS, though, as Scott Edwards strides to the wicket. And Berry’s on 59*, from 43.

Doram gets the breakthrough for HCC, Ferguson cross batted low on the back foot, sneaks on under the back and pinned in front. Clark in with Tarr now, who’s enjoying himself. Reverse sweeps Floyd for four, then two balls later goes the other way for four more. Hundred up.

The hundred comes up off the last ball of the 17th, and with that they take a drink. A maiden from Adendorff when they resume, but then Berry’s down the wicket to De Mey, one-two and over the fence, into the jungle beyond. No point in looking for that one; leave it to the alligators. Scholte, meanwhile, is doing terrific work behind the stumps, twice casting off a glove and hareing after the ball down to the fine leg boundary. Both times he manages to save one precious run. Berry’s gone past Jain; he’s on 49*, his partner on 42*. Looks ominous for HBS.

VCC keep ticking along after drinks, still helped along by the occasional wide from the hosts. Singh brings himself on, taking over from Visser at the city end.Short first up and pulled behind square by Croes for a couple. Tidy for the rest, couple of tight singles, but VRA need a breakthrough. Turmaine at the other end, Levitt skips down the track to him fourth ball and drives high and straight over water for six to bring up the hundred.

Berry goes after Pote, driving him square, turning him fine, then pulling him in front of square for three successive boundaries. He’s bowled well, but this could be a case of an over too many. Especially when he loses control of the ball completely and it flies over Berry’s head: they run three as it runs down to fine leg, although he manages to restrict Jain to a single off the resulting free hit. Nic Adendorff on for Klein from the Pavilion End, but he can’t prevent Berry driving him sweetly through the covers for four, then guiding him to third man for another. Julian de Mey replaces Pote, and Jain slashes his final delivery behind point for yet another boundary. VOC well on top, with Jain now on 41*, Berry on 26*.

Berry gets off the mark with a push through mid-on for a couple; a little inside edgeish, but safe enough. Klein’s developing decent pace, no doubt encouraged by the departure of O’Dowd. Jain, though, continues unabated, playing Pote twice through the legside for back-to-back fours. Martijn Scholte responds by coming up to the stumps, hoping to restrict his movements. But Berry’s having trouble getting Klein away, until he glides him down to third man for a single. A very good spell from him, if wicketless.

Speaking of intra-squad training, VRA scorer Kate Holdsworth observes that 9 of the 15 players picked for the WC Qualifier squad playing in this match. Pote has a shout for leg-before against Jain, but it looked a bit high, then Klein catches the edge but it doesn’t carry to the man at slip. Luck not with HBS just at present. Pote almost gets one through O’Dowd, but Jain has the last word, punching him back straight for another boundary. Then he clips Klein in front of square for yet another, following it up with a cracking drive through the covers. Remarkably, Jain is outscoring O’Dowd here, racing to 26* and looking aggressive even when he doesn’t score.

Big appeal for caught behind from Klein’s first delivery to Jain, but umpire Van Liemt shakes his head. Plays and misses at the second as well – good carry through to the keeper. First runs come from the last ball of that one, Jain pushing through midwicket for a couple. First runs off Pote a boundary from an O’Dowd on drive, and he gets another through the covers two ball later. Accuracy at military medium doesn’t keep O’Dowd quiet for long. And it’s a pretty quick outfield, as Jain demonstrates with a push to the cover boundary off Klein, following it up with a meatier slash past backward point for the same result. VOC off and running.

All sorts of news here at the Bos, where Vikram Singh will be leading the hosts today in his 101st Topklasse game. ” Politics” is the word on the balcony. Logan van Beek back for VCC as preview-readers will know, though rumour has it he may not be bowling. “I might though” he tells us, helpfully. Viv Kingma’s a specialist fielder and lower order go-haver today though, with some sort of twinge. Stijn de Leede makes way for van Beek, VRA the same as last week except for the regime chang. Toss shortly.

And good whatever-time-of-day-it-is-with-you, everyone. Looks like the weather has indeed decided to provide another glorious day for cricket, and we aim to provide live coverage to match. I’ll be concentrating on the game at the Hazelaarweg today, which is a Last Chance Saloon for HBS as they take on VOC. News of the toss and teams follows a.s.a.p.!
Bertus de Jong 10:12
Good Morning, afternoon, or whatever it is where you are everybody. We’re here for Round 8 already somehow, hasn’t the first half of the season just flown by? I’m at the Bos again today for VRA vs Voorburg and providing overwatch of events elsewhere, Rod should be with us shortly with a zoomed-in view of VOC-HBS. Must-wins all over the place today as the winnowing fork of the mid-season break approaches to sort the wheat from the chaff. Your preview is ready as ever, tosses in about 15 minutes.
