Well what a final by my VRA and Punjab and that is how you finish a season but a decent all round effort by the best 2 sides in the Dutch League this season. A tad disapointed with the result but more than pleased with the performances this term by VRA and all at the club should be happy with the T20s earlier in the season to the Seconds winning today against Pujabs Seconds and the Women have done great also. Also well done to Kampong and gaining promotion to Topklasse next term a lady in Ingrid van der Elst will be happy as I used to e-mail her before and will try and find her e-mail agin.
Followed VRA/Punjab whilst looking at the Womens T20 here in Ireland and England won by 67 runs England 176/10 (20.0 overs) bt Ireland 109/10 (18.3) and both sides go again tomorrow. After the 4 wicket loss last Saturday then a crushing 275 run loss on Monday and turning it into a last ball 3 wicket win on Wednesday in the ODIs. Irish Women’s cricket bar 1 hour vs Scotland in the Women’s T20 Semi-Final of the qualifiers this has been the best year ever beating Sri Lanka 2-1 in ODIs and 1-1 series tie in T20s against current Asian champions and earlier beating Zimbabwe 4-0 in ODIs with 1 tie and a 3-0 T20 clean sweep.
Thank You for all your hard work by the both of you this season because whitout both of you Dutch Cricket would be a poorer place
Lets hope the Winter goes quick which it should these days with some ECN Cricket by Irish sides and Dutch sides in European Championships in Club and National events in the winter sun of Spain.
